Re: "The Christian Goth" - What do you make of this?

What??? How can you guys be so close-minded? I myself have been a Christian Goth for some time now. Goths, contrary to popular belief, are very peaceful and very appreciative of life. We're not depressed, we're not angry, we're not violent, and we certainly don't worship Satan or anything like that. Sure, there are Satanist goths, Atheist goths, etc. But a large portion of the Gothic community is Christian!

And yes, Goth IS peaceful. Here are some lyrics from my favorite darkwave (Gothic genre of music) band....

So you must carry this light into the darkness
You shall be a star unto the night
You will find hope alive among the hopeless
That is your purpose to this life

The lips draw words and hands find actions
Still there is more within one heart
Into the silence will you answer
Before the chaos will you come

    Do not injustice to another
    Defend the weak and innocent
Let truth and honor always guide you
Let courage find the light within

Stand up when no one else is willing
Act not in hatred or in spite
Be to this world as a perfect knight
Even if it means your life

That is also the code I live my life by. I will carry my light into the darkness. I will walk among demons to spread to Word of God instead of sitting at church and expecting people to come to me. I will never do injustice to another. I will protect the weak and the innocent. I will always speak the truth and will never give up my honor. Through courage my light shines even in the darkest of places because Jesus stands with me. I will stand up when no one else does. I will never act in hatred or in spite. And I will live my life by this code and I will follow my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ even unto death.

When you think about it, us Christian Goths are the persecuted among the persecuted. But you know what? We don't care. If we did care we wouldn't be Christians. You may insult us and you may call us whatever you want. You can persecute us all you want. But we will simply pity you for being so blind that you cannot see Christian when they're standing right in front of you. And now matter what you do or what you say we will continue to love you and to love Christ.

I'd like to ask something... What makes a Christian? Is it the way he dresses? The way he talks? Is it the music he listens to? Perhaps it's the way he is seen by other Christians? No. It's none of these. Why should I dress like you? Why should I talk like you? Why should I listen to the music you listen to? Why should I care what you see me as? What makes a Christian is love for Jesus and I have plenty of that.

Also, ChristianGoth.com is a legitimate website and one of my favorites. My personal favorite section is the "Just 'Cause I Don't Look Like You" section, which has some excellent stories.

P.S. Here's an excellent quote.... "Never follow Christianity. Christianity is but a religion. Follow Christ, for he is your Savior and your Savior wants you follow him. Not a religion."

Who said that? And what makes you think we would want to follow the beliefs of that person? It could be a quote from a serial killer, I wouldn't know. Would you follow Charles Manson if he said something cute like that? You lieberals and your bumper sticker philosophies...

It was no serial killer. It was a very close friend of mine who said that. He has an excellent point, if you ask me.

Here's the problem boy; Nobody cares what you or your fag friends think. It's what JESUS thinks that counts.

          Dt.23:1
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

          Dt.23:2
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

Oops! It looks like you aren't welcome, boy.
          Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

How would you know whether or not my friend is a fag? He happens to be heterosexual.

And those verses said absolutely nothing about Jesus saying to follow religion. Fact is, Jesus said to follow Him whether you like it or not.

There ain't no such thing as a Christian goth. Such creatures are merely tools of Satan trying to lead the righteous astray. Either the people of this website are truly ignorant or this entire place is fake. I do not worship Satan, nor have I ever, nor will I ever. And no matter what you say, think or do nothing will change that fact. Another fact you can't change is the fact that I am a Christian Goth. Just because you don't know the true meaning of Goth doesn't mean it's evil.

The true meaning of goth? My Daddy told me all I need to know about those folk, which is that they dress up like demons, listen to satanic music, write satanic poetry, and worship satan. God don't like people who dress funny.

Zephaniah 1:8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

And how exactly would a demon dress? Have you seen demons? Actual demons from Hell? How are we to know how they dress? We can't know. And so how can we decide who dresses like a demon and who doesn't? We cannot. And how can one dress in strange apparel? All apparel is strange to at least one person, so is not all apparel strange? And how can we know what God considers to be strange apparel? Yet again, we cannot.

Your post is based purely on your opinion and your hatred of things you don't understand. 'Tis true what they say. People hate that which they do not understand.
