to Joshua- you are right that I have not been here long, and i have not read every single post here. as far as being "selective" in what i've read, i've "selected" the topics with the most offensive subject headings, but i must say that the people on this forum discuss many ridiculous things here (no offense). i've seen posts that use false information, doctored photos, etc to further the unbiblical views of the person posting. i am not here to attack any of you. if anything, i am pleading that you come to the light. i think this church may very well be full of intelligent people who love God, but go about their life of faith in the wrong way. this is not to say that i am some sort of authority on walking with Christ, but it is clear that the view of Christianity that some of the congregates here have is warped. i believe that the devil is trying to get into the lives of the people in lbc as well as other similar churches. i am sorry if that offends anyone.
p.s. i would still like an answer as to why there is a "tm" (trademark) sign next to the word "Christian" all over this site? do you not see the sin in this? i explain that point in my previous post.

no I do not see the sin in having a trademark on the word Christian or Landover or anything here. So many people use the terms Christian etc to further decidedly unGodly views.
You have to also consider this...and this is a wild leap even for me. This is the internet and good Christians have to vie for your attention. We want you in here instead of at gaming sites, car forums, pornographic areas...we have to make it interesting. Now I should clarify, when I say "we"...I am not saying that this is what Landover Baptist does...it is what we at British Baptist do. We have to use everything little thing we can to drag people in kicking and screaming so hopefully they see the error of their ways and can find God.
Shock tactics work and doubly so when the person posting believes in what they are doing.
Again I am not inferring that Landover does this. We do and it does work. We deal with nappy wearers and adult babies and car worshippers and some very strange people.

I love how you false Christians call us "un-Biblical" without posting any scripture of your own. No friend, you are the one that is un-Biblical with your cut and paste Christianity that places your own desires before Jesus.

Now the big difference here is this: We judge from righteousness and that is allowed.

The way a person dresses and the music they listen to and the way they talk DOES let you know if the person is close to God or not.

Rappers are not Christians.
People who dress in crazy, fanatical ways are not Christian.

Christianity is NOT some sort of brand like Nike or CocaCola. every single post on these forums made by your church members has been UN-BIBLICAL. i know that my posting this will not change your opinion, and you will probably just ban me and continue to not show love, even to unbelievers despite the fact that Christ (God incarnate) teaches us to show love to everyone. go ahead. ban me. tell me i'll "burn in Hell" and that i "should be stoned." i am truly sickened at the fact that you dare call yourselves Christians. many unbelievers have a negative view of Christianity. they think all Christians are "psychos." i can honestly say the reason they believe that is because the view of Christianity they get is from your warped messages and behavior. i really will be praying for you all, in hopes that you come to know God truly and fully.

I am also curious about your other comment...about God telling you to welcome everyone. Yes it is true that we ought to welcome people but when the first thing out of someone's mouth is a pile of attacking hateful crap then I suppose we turn the other cheek until we have no more cheeks to turn. What you do not understand poppit is this, the majority of people horde in here and other Christian areas online to mock. They have no interest in being saved and they know it and we know it. We can hope I suppose that they will see our sincerity and vision but we do not expect it. I'd like to ask something... What makes a Christian? Is it the way he dresses? The way he talks? Is it the music he listens to? Perhaps it's the way he is seen by other Christians?
