That's why I didn't link to the KJV, I linked to a page that shows eighteen of the most common Bible versions. If this was an inconsequential detail, there would be differing translations (or they'd just omit specifying), but they all state that it's the right cheek that is struck first.

No. If you check all the different versions here, you'll find that they all specify that if someone hits you on the right cheek, you're to turn so the left is facing them.

This is important because at the time, only the right hand was used when touching others (the left was considered dirty, as it would be used for toilet, etc.). To strike someone on the right cheek with the right hand, you need to hit them backhanded (which is how people would hit a servant or underling). If you only offer your left cheek, they now have to hit you forehand, which is how one would fight an equal.

So "turning the other cheek" does not mean to yield unconditionally, it's a passive-aggressive way of forcing the other to treat you as an equal.

Frequently these days, I see the words "herp a derp" on the Internet in conjunction with gay porn and anti-Christian messages.

My question: Is this a gay pick-up line? Is it a Satanic cult code, like an Internet secret handshake? Or is it both?

Good sir, I've came across this code a couple of times while I was browsing online. I used to just ignore it thinking it was just another scummy terms that would died off, but I was wrong. It has now it becomes an utter annoyance, since unbelieving trash, atheist teens, Justin Beiber fans, homers, evoluters believer etc; are employing it every time I get to put forth my argument about JESUS.

Another recent citation which some of these internet scums uses are "U mad bro", "Kony", "Pony" etc; I advice every good Christian to be on the look out for it. Pray to JESUS hopefully you'll get to catch these bastards (who uses these terms) offline one of these days, and give'em a good queer thumping for the glory of his majesty Christ JESUS.
