Oh man. Nothing gets my goat quite like a hippie Trustafarian. Trustafarians, usually seen at reggae club nights, or watching some live drum n'bass, can easily be identified by the fact that they have dreadlocks, are white and possibly wear trousers made from hemp. What sets them apart from other kinds of 'farians is the fact that they're from very middle class homes and are going on an eco-war with the help of daddy's trust fund.

As wealthy as these Trustafarians are, they can oft be seen hovering around someone making a roll-up, and then, with like, totally groovy vibes, asking for one. You should ALWAYS say no to these spoiled bozos. They can afford a plantation of tobacco plants, so a small pouch of Drum (the yellow one of course) shouldn't set them back too much. These little trust-funders might be skanking to some socially conscious world music / hip-hop now... but they'll be working in insurance before they're 30. Avoid these charlatans like the plague.

I think the misunderstanding here comes from the use of the word "hippie". I contend that there are no more hippies, there are only old hippies like myself who have moved on in our journey, we look like any average person on the street, but in our hearts still burns the same beliefes that fueled the REAL rebellion and change of the 1960's. So hippie isn't really a way of dressing, bathing or tea drinking, it's all an inside thing, a philosophy. I myself am almost 63 years old, look like a librarian or teacher at a catholic school, have a professional career, and after five, baby, I go home and water my luxuriant pot garden and listen to sitar music, which I dearly love. No one looking at me would ever guess.....but I am a REAL hippie. I've noticed that everybody from street people, to homeless perople, to people at the burn with dreadlocks are always referred to as hippies, maybe because there is no other slot they can be easily filed into. There are no more hippies, there are only people that can't be described any other way. If you're under 55, you're not a hippie. The hippie died in the early 70s. Everything else is a poor imitation. Maybe it's the word...hippie....there are only old hippies like me, and we know when we see each other, and we smile....

It's likely the shame of her hidden drug addiction that is making her behave this way.

Well, Brother Marshall, thank the good Lord you are holding up your end for what is right and true and the American Way, the Christian Way!

We don't let our boys look like hippies. None of this long hair touching the ears. High and tight, the way God wants it! No facial hair for the men, either, that moustache is just a rebellion hiding in plain view. Sideburns are no longer than one half inch, and we begin to wonder about the fellows who push close to that one.

The exception to this rule is for Pastors, Deacons, and Trustees who have had a moustache since before the days of the hippies. If they can prove they have worn it since at least 1958, they may keep the moustache (it had better be gray!) No other facial hair is allowed.

You feel the need to remove it?
You claim that you are made in your gods image so surely to change that form by the removal of your facial hair must be an act of desecration of the God you believe in.

Now I get to post about the topic that brought me here when I googled "hippie christians" trying to, *GOD FORBID* find some awesome people to fellowship with and to praise the LORD for all HE has done for us. You know,..."where two or more or gathered...." and all. OK. I Am taking a deep breath and doing my best to let the Lord speak through me, and not let my emotions rule me. I...well, where to begin, really? Um. To start with;

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

This is a quote from Paul, in 1 Timothy 1:15-16. I don't know who ANY of you think you are to be higher than God, you know, so righteous that you don't have to love sinners and PROVE to them God's love, grace and mercy through your own actions. I certainly don't see calling them "Disgusting", "Violent" "Dangerous" etc, or referring to them as harlots, murderers, and the like is going to you know, show that UNCONDITIONAL LOVE that was mentioned in John 3:16 as the REASON Jesus died for our sins. To call yourself a "CHRISTIAN" of any sort..."TRUE" or otherwise, you need to be truly CHRIST-LIKE. Or did you all just get together, take what you wanted to out of the Bible, add in your own interpretations, and then *hahahahahaha* trademark yourselves? You can't trademark "True Christians"! That's absurd. Or were you planning on filing a lawsuit everytime you heard someone outside of your sect (oh yeah, I said "SECT" like... you know, the Sadducees had sects. Like other cults have sects.) uses the term "True Christian", and use the money you might gain with such frivolity to further your aquistion of land with "The Lord's Blessing". I am not at all trying to be disrespectful of anyone, but....well, if this was still an Old Testament World, then an eye for an eye would prevail, and we'd all be walking around blind with a whole lot of hurt feelings. It may not be scripture, but you know the saying, "You'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar?" It's true. Following Jesus, it isn't about capturing wayward souls (which...by the way, what makes you Judge and Jury on these people? You know that whole..."Judge not lest ye be judged..." thing and all...) and forcing them to "see the Light". It's about LOVING them despite their sins and their weak flesh and being truly...a little Christ, which is what the TRUE definition of Christian is. HE said, "I stand at the door and knock." He didn't say "I battering ram my way through your door, tie you up and FORCE you to believe that what I say is true." No love or worship that is forced is real. God doesn't want false praise and adoration. Nor does he want blind slaves. No true master can ever be a good, worthy master if he doesn't care for those who serve under him. And you can't truly care for someone if you insist on forcing them to do things your way. God is not blind, or stupid. He can see now, and way back then, and forever ahead. He knows what he is doing, giving us freewill. Yet again, I ask you, who are YOU to question the Master?
