Even as Dr. Bob Jones III, then-president (and now chancellor) of Bob Jones University spoke to a reporter for the associated press in 1980 at a White House function, suggesting that America would be better off if gay men and lesbians were stoned to death, Satan has had his grimy little finger stirring the pot. Like so many other fluffy-bunny Christian organizations, BJU has become increasingly liberal. They have long accepted women as students to get degrees in subjects other than home economics. They recently kowtowed to public pressure and repealed their no-interracial dating rules in the year 2000, ignoring thousands of years of True Christian™ teaching. And now they cannot hold back the tide of anal-penetrating queers and queens that burst through their doors every year.

Not one bit of me wanted this trait to remain a part of me. All through the day, when I’d pass a hot guy on campus (that darn hottie was another Antagonist), I’d pray. At bedtime, I would pray, usually through tears. If I didn’t start out praying, I’d be flooded with guilt and fears. Praying at least allowed me to fall asleep before that. This was EVERY DAY.
