It is more than somewhat foolish. Anyway, we're not defiling Sophie's memory. Her death would be a meaningless tragedy if nobody used it as an example to benefit the rest of humanity. That's all we're doing.

To all those who are offended by the way in which Sophie Lancaster's memory has been defiled by the comments within this and other threads I think it is somewhat foolish to expect anything different given that this site has a very specific raison d'être.

It is more than somewhat foolish. Anyway, we're not defiling Sophie's memory. Her death would be a meaningless tragedy if nobody used it as an example to benefit the rest of humanity. That's all we're doing.

I merely implied that it would be very optimistic for one to expect kind words said about the young girl and her boyfriend that god their heads kicked in from the folks around here, and that nothing kinder than this threads closure is what they could expect. For what its worth I am posting this because unfortunately I was brought up in the same area of Bacup as those 5 idiots and actually know the Herbert family (also idiots), and though I have great sympathy for that girl and her boyfriend (though I didn't know them personally) I expect the very best that you could expect from the folks round here would be the closure of this thread.

My gosh, this is an eye opener; I had heard that Sister Jenny's pie was both tasty and clean. Of course, this is an issue for our wommenfolk, so far be it from me to stick my nose into it, but perhaps Sister Bowers could organize an inspection tour.
