I take it most of you have probably heard of the supposed new "Doomsday" on December 21st, 2012? Something about Planet "x" ( aka. Nibiru ) passing through our solorsystem and we'll get a polar shift and other horrid things for a month or so.

They ( as in some scientists, non Christians of course ) apparently believe now that Noah's Flood was caused when Planet X (Nibiru) passed through our solar system some thousands of years ago and threw us off our previous axis and shifted the alignment of our north and south poles. (Let it be noted that I do no believe nor endorse this)

While this series is interesting, it's all rubbish really and I don't believe the whole "Planet X, Nibiru" and the Mayan Calander saying December 21st, 2012 is the "new age of enlightenment."

On a side note, didn't Nostradamus predict something about December 21st also? Please forgive me for even mentioning the heathens name. But I thought I had heard of that being one of his predictions at some point. Ah well.

(Let it be noted that I do no believe nor endorse this) I figured I would bring it to light for some of you to be aware of this "event" that is supposedly "occuring" so your not completely shocked when someone mentions it, or you hear about it. Either way.
Thank you for bringing this up. The Nibiru Cult is well known around Freehold; we had a few believers show up just last week at The Monthly Visitor (I was in town, checking up on the construction progress). They told us all about the "bonus planet" that was gonna GET us with its gravitational field. Of course, something that big hurtling in our direction would be quite visible to astronomers . . .

Incidentally, the Mayan calendar should have ended far sooner. When's the last time you saw a Mayan? (OK, I mean other than the one mowing your lawn.)
