Mormon admits to not being a Christian

In the newspaper of record for all forms of hatred for Christ, a magic-undie-wearing LSD cultist finally comes clean. What he says won't surprise True Christians™, but honesty from a Mormoon will.

    From the JYT:
    I’m a Mormon, Not a Christian
    By DAVID V. MASON

I want to be on record about this. I’m about as genuine a Mormon as you’ll find — a templegoer with a Utah pedigree and an administrative position in a congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am also emphatically not a Christian.

For the curious, the dispute can be reduced to Jesus. Mormons assert that because they believe Jesus is divine, they are Christians by default. Christians respond that because Mormons don’t believe — in accordance with the Nicene Creed promulgated in the fourth century — that Jesus is also the Father and the Holy Spirit, the Jesus that Mormons have in mind is someone else altogether. The Mormon reaction is incredulity. The Christian retort is exasperation. Rinse and repeat.

    * * *

I’m perfectly happy not being a Christian.
I hope you'll be perfectly happy in hell, but in the meantime, thanks for your honesty. By the way, the point isn't what the Nicene Creed says about Christ, but what the Bible says about Christ.

If ever there was a religion made up out of thin air, it would be Mormonism. His claim illustrates this clearly.

Yes, the gates of hell are open and ready to accept all Mormons.

Right you are, Mr. Mayor. How could people possibly fall for an obvious con in which a known troublemaker received a "revelation" under highly questionable circumstances, and in which the "revelation" contradicted both itself and the archeological evidence? It just goes to show you how gullible people are when they don't know God's Word.

Magic spectacles? Reading from stones in a hat? Good grief, where did Joseph Smith find the ideas for these fantasies?

Try as I might to keep my calm, I confess that reading the words of Paul's encounter brings me to tears every time. That our LORD would manifest to such a sinner (Saul, the persecutor of True Christians™) and create from him a True Christian™ and Apostle to the world is just too much for my weak, feminine constitution. Note how Jesus requires no gimmicks like spectacles, no props like hats to reveal the Truth I'm literally shaking as I write this, the emotions of the truth of the event are so powerful.

9 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Re: Mormon admits to not being a Christian

In dealing with any Mormon for a long enough period of time they will eventually admit this fact when pressed. They usually use the same defense that Mudslimes do. "The Bible is corrupted by men. God had to start over again."

If that is the case, God isn't very powerful is He?

Calling themselves Christians is just a way to get their foot in the door to make themselves seem normal to the True followers of the God of Moses.

If Moses were here today, no doubt, he would turn his staff into snakes that he would unleash on Utah!
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Re: Mormon admits to not being a Christian

I don't see how a Mormon could be anything but unchristian. The Bible is most explicit in stating that God is not a man (Nu 23:19; 1Sa 15:29; Hos 11:9). God the Father, the eternal God is Spirit (Isa 55:8-9; 6:1-5; 57:15; Pss 90:2; 113:5-6; 123:1; Jn 4:24: 8:23) Jesus said that a spirit does not have flesh and bones (Lk 24:39)
