First of all, emo is a shortened term for emotional. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it...I have been through a lot in my life and have found more solace in hard rock and metal music than I ever had in any church.

This what all these modern day whathaveyou's promise, in the beginning. Sure, it feels good at first, but where is it leading you? That's the question.

Emo (sometimes short for emotocoms, too) is a dangerous game. If you had posted:

Hi. I seem to have stumbled along your post and decided that, seeing as how you're so into "knowing the facts", I'd enlighten you. First of all, emo is a shortened term for emotional. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Depression is a legitimate mental illness and is not encouraged by Gerard Way's music. Many of the songs you quoted were taken out of context and in truth are metaphors. They are not satanic, they aren't speaking against "god", and they are not in any way promoting suicide. Gerard admitted to making mistakes and I find that to be honorable. Do not speak ill of what you do not understand, and I can promise you that you do not understand Gerard Way or the genre that he is a part of. I have been through a lot in my life and have found more solace in hard rock and metal music than I ever had in any church. If you're wondering, I did read your terms and conditions and frankly I find it quite ironic that you are so against hate speech and the like, yet that is what your entire article consists of. I can assure you that your god would not be proud of you for judging and ridiculing a fellow human. Yes, he is human, and is there not a verse in the bible stating "judge not lest ye be judged"? I believe there is, and you've judged. So I'm judging you, for the blatant hate that you're spewing about a person and a subculture who's done nothing wrong. What you wrote goes against many of the principles of the religion you overzealously uphold. I'm sure I will be pegged as a satanist for this spiel, but I'm simply stating my opinion and I can assure you that I've done my research on this matter. You obviously haven't.

When a Christian points out and rebukes sin, it is not out of hatred of the sinner, it is out of love for that sinner and out of the hope that he may be brought to Jesus. This is our work as Christians as the Lord has commanded. It is God who hates you, not Christians. We want you to change sides and come to Jesus, thereby gaining God's love and avoiding the searing flames of perdition.

Also, that same rebuke for sin is not a judgement. Judgement is the work of the Lord. God has made the rules and we know them. The work of a Christian is to point out to you that you are not in compliance with God's Word, that you are sinning and that you are going to Hell. We do not judge you. We only try to get you off the road to Hell. It is the Lord who will send you to Hell.

We do hope you will shed Satan and come to Jesus. What is your favorite Bible verse?

I want to follow up on this because it's such an important point.

If you had brothers and sisters, remember when you'd all be playing in the house and one would keep watch at the window, or listen to hear Mom or Dads car in the driveway?

That's kind of what we all do here. We look out for each other and try to keep God™ from killing us. So when someone says, "Put that down, you stupid butterfingers, Mom/God™ will kill you if it breaks," it's not so much a "rebuke, as it is just a Brother or sister in Christ™ looking out for you.

Dare I suggest you might even consider saying Thank You ?

You can suggest it if you want but I refuse to thank someone who has done nothing for me. What you were doing was not "pointing out the sin" for our well being. Being emo is not a sin, neither is listening to certain types of music. Music is not a drug, not even close, and to many (myself included) it provides better refuge than religion or a make believe god. If "god" needs me to changed to be "loved" by him, then I don't want his love. I am perfectly happy without it. I don't have a favorite bible verse. Oh yeah, and I'm a woman.

Young woman, you are so very lost and your thinking is so muddled that I hardly know where to start.

I apologize for mistaking you for a man, but in the picture we received from the security department asking for any possible information about you, you have a very short and manly haircut. Your tattoos and the cigarette package rolled up in the sleve of your t-shirt, along with the boy's haircut and the large wallet attached by a chain to the belt of your blue jeans, led me to jump to the conclusion that you are a man. Clearly, I was mistaken.

I guess the first thing you should understand is that God does not want you to go to Hell. He makes His rules perfectly clear in His book, the Bible. If you follow those rules, you will go to Heaven. There are way too many to list here, but suffice it to say that you seem to be breaking most of them at this time.

Here is the key- We have all sinned, even me. What is important is whether or not you ask God for forgiveness for your sins and come to Jesus with all your heart and soul. He will accept you as you accept Him- all you have to do is ask.

Accept Him not and you will descend to Hell, there to suffer the eternal torments of the Lake of Fire that knows no quenching.

Young man, you may be happy now with your deathmetal and your big bands or whatever but if you reject Christ's conditional love you will burn forever in the lake of fire when you die and Jesus resurrects you on Judgment day.

What does my gender have to do with my grammar? Your security system must have given you a wrong picture because I have long hair, as I have for most of my life. I don't even own blue jeans, nor do I smoke cigarettes. My wallet chain is kept attached to my purse and I don't have any tattoos yet. My past was the reason I needed a fresh start away from "god". I have never belonged to a church nor do I want to. I also couldn't possibly care less what the "Male Elders" think of my "sass mouth". Let's not forget the picture you sent to Mr Much; that's a "sass mouth" if I ever saw one. Either way, I'm simply stating my opinion. I am also not suffering from any sort of "withdrawal" from my "drug music". Although I am much happier with it, I can function perfectly well without it. It is certainly not a drug.
