Re: i listen to heavy metal, am i going to hell?

Judas Iscariot did not listen to heavy metal and still go to hell. What is the Gospel for the Church Age? It is a shame that Billy Graham said before he died that everybody was part of the Body of Christ. And I don't think he ever was saved. A True Christian knows God's plan of salvation.

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Romans 3:19 - Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

Re: i listen to heavy metal, am i going to hell?

Why do people who mock Jesus and listen to music explicitly about evil look to The Bible for answers at all?

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

NOW TAKE A LOOK AT THIS REVOLTINGNESS
it is the least indecent example

Notice how in every way..with lies where there should be truth, beguiling instead of honesty, injustice, impurity, the hideous distorting the lovely, the ill report, beslutment for virtue and glorification of filth in abasement..vileness triumphs over all. It's as though whatever demon possessing the maniac who came up with this idea had set out to countermand every encouragement from God and lead the metals to destruction. Satan directs the palsied hand which draws, the rotting brain through which the writing is extruded.

There are more "lyrics" of course.

Abandon hope all ye who enter here
For herein lies the path to sadness
The poetry of woe set midst the sweet lament of fear
Carouses in fantasia like spirits cast to madness

I don't need to post any more. Elsewhere they endorse séances, witchcraft, goddesses, wickedness and pyromantic necromantic heights of bright sensation all dressed up as loveliness. But this is not what The Bible means by lovely. Read it. See for yourself. It is the very opposite of beauty.

Jesus did not writhe on the cross with His blood dribbling down in unspeakable agony taking upon Himself the just deserts of every human failing past or present just so deranged metal-heads could emulate the shivering spine with detuned chords and horror in their tiny poisoned minds. His Perfect Sacrifice was made to redeem those whom He foreknew. He was not trying to evoke mental pagan princesses in vibrant dissonance but succeeded, in restoring harmony to a putrid fallen world. He chose us from the dawn of time.

II Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.

When Jesus was poked through with that spear, when His bodily fluids erupted forth and He cried out aloud there were no clanging synthetic chords. All the blood drained from carcasses thitherto had been ineffective, God explains, which is why He arranged for this baby, His own Son, to be born. Born to be murdered. Murdered in the most degrading way, after He was whipped, and mocked, and bruised. And they nailed Him up. Every baby ever born deserves this but the metals claim they know better than God. For them (according to the lyrics and graphic art they produce) these are good things. Evil is something to celebrate. All they think about is blood and filth and murder. But Jesus died to set us free.

When we remember Him it is not with glee. I am so excited that I will not now be tortured as I deserved when I was born. But in the land of heavy rock, babies would be educated to believe something else altogether. That is indoctrination and they do it to deny The Truth, to mock Jesus and blaspheme against The Holy Ghost.

For some it is not yet too late. A few may find that Narrow Path and turn away from corpse obsession by accepting they deserve torture but also accepting that Jesus suffered as He did for them. It is not something we forget lightly. For the rest, as for the majority of human dross, it's anguish now, trampled (or worse) in the mosh pit, a foul tormented future guaranteed, in HELL FOREVER.

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Turn to Jesus today. If you can. Just one soul Redeemed is worth all the mockery we take, humbling ourselves, to spread the Word Of God.

You will note that there is nothing about playing a guitar through a 3000 Watt amp while a drummer beats the crap out of a set of drums and a sore-throated imbecile shouts obscene and godless lyrics.

I suspect that this is something that God would not like, and, as such, is a sin.

OK. So now we've established that The Bible condemns listening to heavy metal how about getting back on topic? Are people who listen to the genre going to hell? Let's see what The Bible says.
    REVELATION 21 .KJV . CONTEXT
    27
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

There is a difference between hearing the metal and listening to it. Christians may witness outside some goth dive and if the door opens to admit another individual expressing their individuality by looking exactly the same as everyone else in the joint if you could see at all due to blacklight everywhere and no-one wearing fluorescent yellow, sound will drift out. It is not melodious. Indeed freak-shows like The Dillinger Escape Plan celebrate criminals with their cacophony. I've heard them but would never listen to them.

The metal pit welcomes such sentiments which are defiling demonstrating that none of them, the audience and performing artistes alike, accept God's precepts at present.

Way to refute my point, and not one that, not only have I not attempted to defend, has already been refuted. Good job.

I am shocked and absolutely disgusted that a worthless unblessed troglodyte like you is spreading your homo-sympathizing pot culture to even landover baptist, a safe haven for all god-loving christians. Metal music is pure mockery of god, by listening to metal music you are mocking god and calling upon the forces of satan! That is not even considering the downright anti-American lyrics found in many of these blasphemous songs!

Some examples of heresies in metal music are:

-In the metallica song "puppet masters". It is implied that our brave christian american soldiers lost their lives meaninglessly as puppets of our government, not to stop the rise of heathens and help the interests of our nation

-In the metallica song "nothing else matters", one of the lyrics is "open mind for a different view ... never opened myself up this way", implying that the singer is coming out as a gay and changing his view on LGBT people, an insult to god's creation!

-the band mega death has death in their name, praising death and thus, their future demise in hell

I have never been so abashed in my life as to see another christian talk like this. I have already consulted my family about this and my wife/sister agrees and we have begun an awareness campaign in the neighborhood to cleanse it of this unholy blasphemy!
