Because Jesus washed away all of my sins the moment I got saved. I never felt so free before my burden of sin was taken away.

I know that I deserve an eternity in Hell for my sin, but God sent His Son to pay the price for me so that I can be saved. Praise the sweet name of Jesus!

The sermons about the danger's of Hell aren't about trying to scare folks into being saved -- they are about trying to scare folks out of being damned. You can't scare folks into Heaven.

People are content to live in their sin, blissfully unaware of the serious danger they are in. Why would such a person seek out Jesus? We have to warn them about the consequences of sin, and then let them know that there is a Way out.

A person who is saved will naturally tithe generously and joyfully, but that's not a condition to being saved. You can't buy your way into Heaven.

I don't hate the Jews -- I love them. I want them to give up their false religion and come to know Jesus Christ. If I hated them I would keep the Gospel to myself and let them live in their sin.

Fair enough i agree with all of that and ive learnt something new of the Aramaic language. i'll look into that then.

You have told me before you will not find any pastors being racist and such but for people who are obviously respected on here to just be like that, and to be extremly steriotypical like "All brits are going to Hell".

For someone who knows so much and is obivously a true follower of christ i think you should tell your fellow Friends on here that the jews are gods people, You should also tell them that messianic jews are exactly the same as you and me they are not a false religion, jesus said himself salvation is of the jews.

If I recall correctly, it was YOU that Thumper called a "nappy haired ho", but she knew you aren't black. So, no one called any black person a "nappy haired ho".

He did say that, but then the Jews rejected Him and tried to put a stop to Christianity. You've read Acts, haven't you? The point is, after the Jews rejected Him, Salvation was made available to anyone who believes.

Don't get the Jewish race mixed up with the Jewish religion.

Jesus was not a follower of the Jewish religion. He explicitly rejected the Jewish faith.

As for being a member of the Jewish race, well, I suppose you could say that He was half Jewish on His mother's side.

He didnt actually reject the jewish faith, he only rejected the 700+ commandments the jewish people of that time added on to the bible.
People Called jesus Rabbi, He even wore prayer Shawls, his whole family line were jews. There's hundreds more to prove it aswell, his 12 diciples were jews too.

Those 700+ commandments that the Pharisees and Maccabees added ARE the Jewish faith. What we know today as the Jewish faith didn't originate until after the time of Malachi.

What you said is like saying someone doesn't reject the Christian faith, they only reject the teachings of Christ.

Oh, and Jesus did explicitly reject the Jewish faith. It's in John 7.

No, Matthew 9:20-21 only says garment.
And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

All this passage proves is that He didn't strut around naked.

The reference in Numbers also says "garment".

I don't think you have the right verse references for Acts or Psalms. Acts 2:2-4 is about the miracle of the tongues and has no mention of clothing of any sort. Neither of your Psalms references mention clothing either.

Besides, this is a red herring. Whether Jesus wore the kinds of clothes that were in fashion for Galilean religious teachers of His day or if He invented His own style says nothing about whether He accepted or rejected the Jewish faith. John 7 is the definitive answer to that question.

Excuse me for my ignorance, and if this is just a "joke" then forgive me. But wasn't Jesus' earthly father jewish as well? You can trace Jesus' genealogy through Joseph to David, who was Jewish.

Sorry for the double post, but wouldn't Joseph have to be Jewish in order to marry Mary anyway? I thought they were not allowed to marry any other race besides their own.

Joseph wasn't Jesus' biological father; he was Jesus' step father. The Holy Ghost was Jesus' biological father.

Matt 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
