Re: I wish I had the faith of an atheist.

Atheism is yet another in the long line of false doctrines, right along with Islam, Mormonism, Scientology, Hindaloo, and Roman Catholocism. The only thing that sets it apart is that it doesn't even make a pretense of providing a moral compass to the sheeple who follow the religion of atheism.

The funny thing is, I don't have enough faith to believe in atheists. That's right. I don't even believe they exist.

As it is written, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD (Romans 14:11). Notice that this does not say that "all Christians" or "everyone who makes the cut into Heaven" shall confess that Christ is LORD.

EVERY knee shall bow, and EVERY tongue shall confess, even if it is accompanying a desperate cry for an end to the eternal torments of the pit of hell.

Even avowed atheists, whether they like it or not, have the Law of God written on their hearts - yet further proof that they are deluded fools, lying even unto their selves.

    Romans 2:14-16
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another; )
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Pay attention, atheists. The Law is written on your heart. You WILL confess that Jesus Christ is LORD. You don't have to burn in hell. Do yourselves a favor, stop being stiffnecked, and pull your heads out of your asses. We want you to turn your lives around and become Christians, so that you may join us in Heaven.

    Amen.

So true! I True Christian doesn't have to pretend, the glory of Jesus and the holy spirit fill them up so that they don't need lies or sodomy to make them feel whole.

Whenever I talk to an atheist they are alway so sure that there is no evidence for God. It's like they have been brainwashed into believing this. I just say to them, "Look at the trees, the flowers, the rivers. Did they just happen by chance?" They always look at me dumbfounded and then start gibbering on about burdens of proof. It's like they have been taught what to say that makes no sense whenever confronted with a sensible point.

I then tell them I will pray for them and walk away. What's the point even trying to reach someone so closed to the splendour all around them that they have to make up silly explanations that are just magic and sorcery rather than seeing the Truth®?

The atheist belief that the universe is billions of years old is a faith position, nobody was there to witness it. However the creation around 6000 years ago is not a faith position because we have a reliable witness, God! Not only did he write it down, He specified what He did every single day! Atheists would kill for specific and accurate evidence like that.

    Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

No faith needed from the Christian position, we have our witness. The atheist has nothing!

"Prophets" is somewhat of a loose term when it comes to these blasphemers - and what give these descendents of monkeys any kind of authority to speak? I suppose they are passing along some kind of wisdom handed down from an amoeba, and is any one of them going to perform any miracles or die to atone for the sins of mankind? Their gospel is surprisingly short to be called "Prophets".

started a topic I wish I had the faith of an atheist.

I wish I had the faith of an atheist.

Atheists don't have faith in our God. This makes it a religion.

    Atheists have their own prophets.

“The total amount of suffering per year in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. During the minute that it takes me to compose this sentence, thousands of animals are being eaten alive, many others are running for their lives, whimpering with fear, others are slowly being devoured from within by rasping parasites, thousands of all kinds are dying of starvation, thirst, and disease. It must be so. If there ever is a time of plenty, this very fact will automatically lead to an increase in the population until the natural state of starvation and misery is restored. In a universe of electrons and selfish genes, blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won't find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.”

That is a definitive statement of belief. Dawkins has belief that there is nothing, therefore he is religious!

“In fact, "atheism" is a term that should not even exist. No one ever needs to identify himself as a "non-astrologer" or a "non-alchemist." We do not have words for people who doubt that Elvis is still alive or that aliens have traversed the galaxy only to molest ranchers and their cattle. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make in the presence of unjustified religious beliefs.”

Here we have another definitive statement of faith from an atheist prophet. He doesn't think the term atheist should be used anymore. No doubt he wants his Satan worshiping ways to not be named.

By trying to adjust to the findings that it once tried so viciously to ban and repress, religion has only succeeded in restating the same questions that undermined it in earlier epochs. What kind of designer or creator is so wasteful and capricious and approximate? What kind of designer or creator is so cruel and indifferent? And—most of all—what kind of designer or creator only chooses to “reveal” himself to semi-stupefied peasants in desert regions?

By questioning the motives of our God, here again the dead saint of atheism is making a statement of fact that there is no God!

Not to mention, atheists believe something came from nothing. We can't explain how it happened, therefore God did it!

It takes much more faith to think that God does not exist or to question the motives of God thinking it is more likely he does not exist.

I certainly don't have that kind of faith to be so sure that God probably doesn't exist.
