My fellow Christians in the communion of Christ, in today's context this is certainly a fair question to ask. Historically, they have been nothing but trouble and a drain on the resources of civilization.

In the East the Roman Empire was weakened by wars with the Persians.
If you have ever noticed that the mooselimbs always add to their pronouncements the disclaimer "allah willing"? It is because they are continually driven in their successes by the idea that their false god "allah" is behind them. The mooselimbs were successful in conquering the Arab world at the time, and exploiting the growing weakness of the old Roman Empire managed to conquer everything from Spain to China by employing a campaign of terror, killing, raping, and pillaging.
Not to be outdone, the forces of Jesus began to fight back this menace. The Spanish finally rid their country of the mooselimbs, the famous battle of Vienna stopped the incursion of the mooselimbs into Europe, and by the end of WWI, the final caliphate of the Ottoman Empire fell. In the aftermath of all this the mooselimbs were wondering where their false god allah really was. Instead of accepting Jesus and the forces of the One True God that defeated them, they turned inward and began to have self-esteem problems that continue to the present time.
Modern LIEberals have attempted to help them with their self-esteem problems by inventing a so-called "Golden Age of Islam" where it is posited that during their past 1,000 year reign there was unprecedented "progress" that lead to the modern world.
