Miraculous Prayer Rug in the Mail

I did a search on this but couldn't find anything. I know the True Christians here will help me know what to do with the unusual mail I received today from "St Matthews Churches", supposedly a 60 year old church that has some kind of special "in" with our Lord by mailing out rugs that they want to be passed on from person to person in perpetuity.

If you Google it, you'll find that millions have received this at some point.

One has to wonder, since it has pictures of a woman who received $46,000 after kneeling on this rug and another that reaped $10K just by placing her knees on it and sending back a small seed gift - is it possibly a message from GOD? Here is an excerpt from the enclosed letter and a picture of the rug.

Notice the face of Jesus on this Church Prayer Rug. When you first look, you will notice that His eyes are closed. If you relax and continue looking straight into His eyes, you will see His eyes slowly opening, and He will begin looking back at you. Jesus sees your needs (Philippians 4:19). Use this unusual, important, Church Prayer Rug for tonight only.
Let us ask you: Would you like to have God’s blessings upon Your home, your family and your finances? Say, “Yes, Lord Jesus, I do need Your financial blessings upon me and my family’s finances!” Deuteronomy 28:6 Just put a mark (√) by your needs below, telling us that you want prayer. Also, check any other needs you are facing. Pray about sowing a seed gift to the Lord’s work. Give God your best seed and believe Him for His best blessing (St. Luke 6:38). Now, go and use this Church, Faith, Prayer Rug. The Lord is watching and waiting. You are about to enter the Holy Spirit of God right here in your home, through this faith exercise. Then, it is a must that you return it for another to use.

Reading further in Google, I see that the "church" must meet in a post office box (my, what a large box that must be). I also see that it has become quite a fund raiser for the pastor of this post office box.

I wonder if we might have our own Landover Prayer Rug since it has been a source of over 46 million dollars in revenue?

In the meantime, shall I kneel upon it? Shall I send a seed gift?

Brother Larry, I don't like to to be the bearer of bad news, but these rugs are false Christian artifacts. The last time I saw this abomination, it was Reverend Ike using the ploy to attract dollars for more Rolls Royce automobiles; also to pay the electric bill over at his church, which is a false church.

The dead give away here is that Jesus does not live in a rug. In addition, this smacks of a graven image and praying over this rug will likely bring on a trip to the Lake of Fire. It is all very Catholic like and it must anger the Lord.

No, Brother, this is all a pack of lies and these cynical heathens are out to dupe you.

      God Bless!

I had a quick look in my KJV 1611 Bible and could find no direct mention of rugs.

Is it possible that this is a mudslime ploy to try and trick good Christian men and women into converting?

I will do further research into this and post my findings later
        Isaiah 66:15

For behold, the Lord wil come with fire, and with his charets like a whirlewinde, to render his anger with furie, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Good thinking, Brother. I am constantly impressed by the ability of our menfolk here to see through such trickery.

The only reference I can find to anything that might be a rug is in Proverbs 31:22 where the virtuous woman maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

I think "coverings of tapestry" must refer to some sort of carpet, because if a woman covered herself with tapestry she would be wearing a burqa.

There's certainly a lot of purple in that rug, and it's shiny like silk. BUT the verse says her clothing is silk and purple, not the tapestry.

So all in all, nice try from the terrists there, but Brother Thomas is on to them!
