  • Stop These "Let's Do Something Nice" campaigns.

It just burns me up when a so-called Christian gets on his high horse and tells other Christians what to do. In this case it's "Give big tips to servers in restaurants. Make it known you are a Christian."

Church goers are known for giving small, if any, tips for good reason. There is no point to it. You are in the restaurant to buy a meal, its staff are there to serve it to you. You pay the bill and leave, that's it. God did not put servers in restaurants to collect tips, He put them there to serve you.

Some people get mixed up and think the restaurant is a church and you are supposed to put something in the collection plate.

Today is a Tuesday. I'm calling my campaign, "Christian NO-TIP TUESDAY"!

The person or persons behind the now-famous Tips for Jesus Instagram account is encouraging consumers everywhere to join the movement by generously tipping their servers as a part of Project ...
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Crazy, what would be the point? Bribe the waiter so that he becomes a Christian too, hoping to get even more tips? I only give tips if I know I will visit the restaurant again. If they know beforehand that I don't give tips they may spit in my food.
If I give tips, I loudly claim to be catholic so that these gaylords (99% of waiters are gay) end up in the right place

I do all I can for people. I tell them about the special message Jesus has for them. If they do not want to listen to that, how can I possibly know they will listen to anything else I say. Like if I leave a dollar tip after my family has dinner and put a note on the currency "Give this to Jesus" do you think the server will do this? No. They will use it to buy drugs or pay for prostitues.
It really upsets me being surrounded by heathens during this warm and magical time of year.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

We should do something productive like go into a restaurant and tell the waiters everything they did wrong. That would help make better waiters. We could tell them that instead of panhandling they should be happy with there hourly wage and if they don't like that they should become job creators.

Great suggestion, Brother Godfly. It would be what some call a Teaching Moment when they could become better at what they do.

I have to wonder how many job creators are wasting there lives because of the tips they get. Just spending there days lazily walking from the kitchen to the tables with plates of food (they don't even have to cook) with the expectation that someone will give them money. Waiting tables has got to be the easiest job in the world.

I never feel the need to tip my daughters when they bring me food, and they bring it all the way to my living room!

The prayers of a True Christian(TM) are far more valuable than any pocket change we could leave behind. That's why, instead of tipping, I just write "I'll pray for you!" and put a cross on the charge slip. That has to warm the hearts of these low wage earners.

Why should waiters get extra money just for doing their job when other professions don't? What about construction workers, painters, electric repairmen, delivery men, garbage men.. Why don't any of these people get tips? It's because they already get paid for doing their job and aren't greedy enough to expect extra money. You know should get tips? Job creators. When you buy items at your local supermarket or department store, you should be able to give a tip to upper management and corporate if you like their store and think they did a good job facilitating it. Anyone can carry food to a table. Not just everyone can be a job creator.

Amen, brother! The real heroes are the managers who sit in boardrooms and write the slogans that motivate the menial laborers to do a better job.

Exactly. When the men in the boardroom relabeled servers as "team members", "associates" and "assistant managers" instead of just "waite staff", the grunts worked harder for the same pay.

It's those men in the boardroom that make this country great. Tips to those walking back and forth from the kitchen is money down a rat hole.

If you don't want to tip, just put on an Australian accent. Everybody knows that Aussies don't tip - for anything! Waiters get paid huge wages here - $20-$30/hr.
This is because we hardly have any niggros here. It only used to be white people, so they were paid properly. (Abos have never worked, so they don't count). But now we have all these slanty-eyed descendants of Shem who get paid white peoples' wages.

I suppose that could work, but who wants to sound like an idiot with a speech impediment? I had an Australian classmate in dental school. One day he kept talking about the "egg nishna." It took me more than an hour to figure out that he was trying to say "air conditioner." God put the consonants into the English language at the Tower of Babel for a reason.

All in all, I think "pray, don't pay" is the most practical policy.
