  • Yes! Church of Scotland to draft same-sex marriage laws

Yes! It is Harsha Shah. Here in Scotland I am currently doing volunteer work for SNP that is the Scottish National Party and we have been rallying for some years for equality. Yes. As a schoolteacher this is very important for me, as I am also teaching RME that is Religious and Moral Education for 5-6 year pupils. Yes. At the SNP we are following a draft proposal on these issues, yes we are. I am using the quote function here, yes.
We will work with the General Teaching Council for Scotland to ensure that schools address the important issues that LGBTI young people face, and that teachers have the skills, knowledge and confidence to take inclusive approaches in their schools.
Yes. The Church of Scotland is now joining us. Yes, I am again using the quote function here, yes.
The Church of Scotland has moved a step closer to allowing some Ministers and Deacons to conduct same-sex marriages in the future.

The General Assembly voted 345 by 170 to instruct the Legal Questions Committee to prepare legislation with safeguards in accordance with Section 9 (1A) of the Marriage Scotland Act.The debate was carried out in a spirit of grace and humility, but there was no mistaking the strength of feeling expressed in the Hall.

Speaking afterwards, Mr Kerr said: “I am delighted that that the General Assembly continues on a road where we are able to say to people in same-sex relationships that the Church has a place for you.

“I am pleased we have reached this point and I have already had reaction from parents of people in same-sex relationships who are overwhelmed that the Church accepts that God loves them.

“It was clear from the floor of the Assembly that many commissioners appreciate having a choice with their families as to whether they act as minister or a parent of the bride or groom.”
Below I am inserting a picture with the insert image function, yes.

The "for" means "yes" which is beautiful. Yes, I am thinking that some christians will be offended by this while others will be rejoicing. I am not a member of a christian church but I am thinking that this decision is bringing the good people of Scotland closer to ahimsa and your Jesus would not be disapproving of that, nor your Muhammed. This will be very nice for christian parents as they can now see their children marrying in christian ceremonies, yes. These ceremonies are always sad and beautiful and I am thinking this because I have been attending many as a guest. Yes. Yes. Yes. We are marching along to a strong independent Scotland. Yes.
    "Ecclesiastes 3:7
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak."
Yes. Women are saving lives. It is time we are speaking! Yes!

    Dear Miss Shah,

I hope you know that the Church of Scotland is nothing more than an offshoot of the Church of England which still holds to many papist ideas. I think that they are not, as you would say, seeing the whole elephant.

Now taking a look at an independent Scotland, are you sure this is the correct path forward? You had independence before and that didn't work out very well, did it? Where will everyone's money come from? You surely can't expect President Trump and his golf courses to support you. And for sure fishing is not an option as the Spanish have taken everything of value from the oceans around Scotland.

Just look at what has happened since the ROI was granted independence. War, a failing economy, Dana, mass immigration, a referendum on abortion, a gay Indian president...... The list is endless.

I will pray that the fiefdom of Scotland sees the error of its ways.

TTP.S. For being in Scotland you are a very early riser. Is that because you are celebrating Ramadamnation?

I think maybe you've been hitting the papadum a little hard there Harsha.

First of all, I fail to see how 5-6 year old pupils should care anything about this - they're not going to be getting married anytime soon (unless they're mooselimb).

Secondly, Scotland is a place where men already wear skirts - so none of this is any big deal.

It surprises me that Scotland and other African nations would consider permitting male/male and female/female marriages, frankly. You're probably wondering why I feel that way, since it might seem strange for a gnathologist to care about such things.

Well, the first reason is: I suspect that a gay person is somehow behind this. I prayed to Jesus and He said, "I won't come out and say specifically who - but Craig Ferguson comes to mind." I nodded and said, "Thank You, Lord." Anyone who knows Craig Ferguson knows that he likes horses even though he hasn't come out and said so. It's my intention to ask my fellow gnathologists to boycott Craig's horses and perhaps Scotland will come to their senses.

Maybe not; I only know a little about the African continent. I think the major export from that area is the black person.
        Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.

Well, I am sure all the sheep there are letting out a resounding 'Baa-a-a-a-a' of relief to know those dress wearing pansies will not longer be ruining their rectums. Who knows, I might even try Haggis now that there is no chance of it being fouled with Man-Seed©.

Honestly, a country full of dress wearing pansy men. None wear proper BVD's either, I've looked.

Godless country Scotish-stan. Though they can make a passable single malt.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

It doesn't take much more than a simple search about what is worn under a kilt to see proof of this statement, Brother Jim. In fact, I kept searching and searching and only rarely found a man with any sort of underwear. I spent hours on this quest.

Thank you for the inspiration. Since "Prince" Charles is often seen wearing one of these skirts, it makes one cringe to think that he, too, might be bare under there. And he's worn them in the presence of his sons! (Assuming they're actually his!)

I trust such garb is not permitted in Freehold and is specifically a part of the Hold Ordinances.
