Re: Girls and young women are anxious and depressed. Why?

Does anyone know if portable internet access has increased the amount of people paying attention to news and current events? Current Events has gotten more entertaining, there are many comedy shows dedicated to it. When I was young only nerds knew anything beyond the President's name. Those nerds would have all been male.

I miss those days, and will instantly pledge my allegiance to the first politician who wears a hat reading "Make Politics Boring Again".

Traditional media is also becoming feminized, it's targeting women now.

In the past, it was agreed that ladies were not worry their pretty little heads with the corrupting and sordid world of politics and current events.

The News was for men, which means it was like an action movie. Lots of explosions and violence and epic stories of raw power.

As things got feminized "human interest" stories started showing up. "Human interest" meant "female interest", as if men are not human.

Now The News is clucking henparty of gossip, high society scandal, emotionalism, social conformism enforcement, and etiquette policing/high society shibboleth fads. Female numerical illiteracy means nobody can prioritize any more - one bumtouch on campus outweighs the doubling of the crime-rate in entire European nations because "math is tough".

Heck, next time you're tempted to watch CNN, how about you just put this video on loop:

In my experience, a woman is depressed if she doesn't have a household to take care of. Women without a husband and children can never find fulfillment in their lives. Every moment of my day is filled with cooking and cleaning and mending and washing and all other such duties. There's no time for me to become anxious or depressed!

God calls these problems "the bread of idleness":
Prov 31:27 She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat.
"Social Media" does not appear in the Bible, but "Gossip" does.
Psalm 31:13 I have heard the gossip of many; terror is on every side
Nothing new under the sun, folks.

Feminists, like all social justice warriors, are rich. They are rich-supremacists:
Psalms 119:23 Though nobles take their seat and gossip about me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.
    On outrage-inducing clickbait:
Prov 26:20 Without wood, fire goes out; without a gossip, conflict dies down.
    God predicted Twitter:
Isa 38:14 Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter:

Is it possible the rapid onset of female self-harm coincided with liberals forcing decent Christian family values television off the air? If girls would just dress nice, brush their hair and stop sassing back then all these problems would disappear under the rug.

Rates of anxiety, suicide and self-harm (not including hymen-vandalism) has greatly increased among girls and young women in the last decade.

    While Fear Of The Lord is a good thing (Deuteronomy 6:24, Psalm 31:19, Psalm 67:4, Psalm 112:1, Psalm 115:13, Psalm 128:1-4, Proverbs 10:27, Proverbs 19:23, Proverbs 22:4, Proverbs 28:14, Psalm 33:18-19, Psalm 34:7, Psalm 85:9, Psalm 145:19, Nehemiah 1:11, Psalm 147:11, Proverbs 15:16, Ecclesiastes 8:12-13, Luke 1:50, Psalm 25:12, Ecclesiastes 7:18, Isaiah 33:6, Psalm 103:11, Psalm 60:4, Psalm 115:11, Proverbs 14:26-27, Malachi 3:16-17, Zephaniah 3:7, Malachi 4:2, Revelation 11:18, Psalm 34:9, Psalm 111:5) this anxiety is different.

    Some theories:
    1. Mainstream theory: Social media plus a culture that teaches bad thinking habits, see The Coddling Of The American Mind.

    2. My Thought: Girls feel anxious when there are no strong men around to defend them. Feminist-raised soyboys make their female peers feel defenseless.

    3. My Thought: Porn is horrifying. But activists don't send their mobs after porn stars because activists choose their targets by vulnerability, in particular vulnerability to shaming. But Porn is shameless, so porn wins in our survival-of-the-shameless environment.
    4. My Thought: Feminist activists have gotten a lot better at their job, and/or communicating with girls via social media. Activists work by scaring the brains out of people (activists even used to call themselves "Agitators").
    5. Leftist: Rape culture and male backlash have suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and you can't blame to left for failing to prepare for this completely predictable trend. (Interesting how Leftists always promise Utopia, and then once things fall apart they blame backlash/counter-revolutionaries/Kulak wreckers/CIA plots. Why not warn us ahead of time?)
Well, that's all the theories I can think of right now, but I want a proper Biblical look at this phenomenon.

Whatever happened, it had to happen very recently, very fast - this is why social media and post-9/11 safetyism stand out as likely culprits. Everything else happened slowly, unless there is some sort of "tipping point" or "critical mass" thing going on. But The Coddling Of The American Mind is not exactly heavy on Biblical references. I won't believe it until God says it.
