  • Why are children writing poems when they should be learning scripture

I was infuriated when reading about 4-year old Nadim Shamma-Sourgen's evocative poetry today. Apparently this precocious false prophet has been bustin' rhymes on da Twitter for months when he was discovered by a famous writer. Well, now he has his own book deal.

    Coming Home
    Take our gloves off
    Take our shoes off
Put them where they’re supposed to go.
You take off your brave feeling
    Because there’s nothing
to be scared of in the house
Piffle! What is the world coming to? I'll tell little Nadim what gives mommy and daddy a "brave feeling" in the house - Jesus. And his friends Colt 45 and Remington Model 10. This little midget needs to get his priorities straight and learn life is hard in the nursery, a constant struggle. And believe me, I blame the parents too - what kind of a name is Nadim? No wonder the little faggot is writing poetry. All of this just rubs me the wrong way, as you can probably tell
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

I certainly can tell, Brother Dr. Toole, Sir! I am pretty offended by the whole idea of letting a 4-year-old waste his time in this way, but far more offended by the poor quality of the results. I mean, not only does it not scan, it doesn't even rhyme - unless you count rhyming "off" with "off", which I don't.

    Here's another masterpiece:
    Baddies love their baddie friends
    Even very baddie ones
    Policemen might arrest them
But they’ll still have their love.
Now that is just confusing. Who are the "they" in the last line - the baddies, the baddie friends, the "very baddies" or the policemen? The child is mentally addled and probably retarded.

Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

Not only should such a brat be learning scripture, he is old enough for simple factory work. We're raising a world of sissified adults.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.
