  • ‘Mental illness is not a joke’

Leftists in London have been frothing over recent creative free market innovation exploiting the work of nutjobs that paint nice pictures.

‘Mental illness is not a joke’: London gallery under fire for Van Gogh gifts

[R]eferences to Van Gogh’s missing ear, and mental health, in souvenirs on sale at the Courtauld Gallery in London have attracted criticism.

Some have been left distinctly unimpressed at the attempt at humour.

Charles Thomson, a co-founder of the Stuckist group of artists, said: “Suicide is not a joke and mental illness is not a joke."

"What next? Van Gogh’s suicide pistol?"

"Pencils in the shape of a false leg at a Frida Kahlo exhibition?"
Nice one, Charles! The one-liners just keep on coming. I for one see nothing in the Bible that indicates anything but contempt for the mentally feeble. If someone can make a buck out of them, such as selling tickets to see their "art" or making a career off of their backs, I say run with it.

    John 10:20
And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

    Deuteronomy 28:28
The Lord shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart

    Timothy 6:3
    If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Hmm. . . is a complete lack of a sense of humor an indication of mental illness? Or do some folks voluntarily have theirs surgically removed?

Sister, the funny police do not joke around. Careful what you say.

Re: ‘Mental illness is not a joke’

Mental illness is a curse from God to punish wrongdoers:

The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. Deuteronomy 28:28-29

Of course, many (perhaps most) people who appear mentally ill are actually possessed by demons (see Mark 5). They need our support (and a good exorcist!), though you do have to wonder why God didn't do anything to help them--so they may not be entirely innocent. But the real lunatics definitely deserve whatever scorn we heap upon them.

I am disgusted by retards. Not funny, not one bit. Having these lunatics loose in society is plain wrong.

When driving, I have to watch out in case one walks out in the middle of the road. Most of them do not have insurance and I am stuck having to pay the bill to fix my truck.
Going to Church, these mooroons sometimes park in MY reserved space. I am forced to wait for the Church towing service to come and get the miscreants Prius out of MY spot.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
