I didn't understand some of what you wrote but I'm pretty sure that the Lebanese don't marry men.

Re: What can you do if your daughter refuses to marry her rapist??
I was revolted today. Someone sent me a piece from one of the moon worshipping realms claiming something about "good news!" when according to The Bible all there is are additional offences designed to challenge God's authority above and beyond the mere worshipping of idols. Now they want to force apostasy onto unborn children and abandon the mother to a life where she must fend for herself because no-one following God's standard would want to buy her.
God has been very explicit in this matter. If you have some other opinion you are disagreeing with God and let's face it if He could be wrong on one point He could be wrong about Jesus, wrong about Heaven and Hell, wrong about resurrection of the dead in Christ and the innate vileness we all inherit from conception and wrong about every baby born deserving of unspeakable torture forever. The Lebanese parliament passed a law to abolish a controversial article which granted rapists an ‘escape’ from prison if they married their victims.….Lebanese law stated that rapists are punishable by up to seven years in prison. If the rape victim is a person with a special need, physical or mental, the penalty was increased. Article 522 added that if the violator marries his victim, criminal prosecution is suspended.
II CORINTHIANS . KJV . context .. WHOLE CHAPTER which I can recommend reading for anyone continuing to claim God got it wrong
5:15 [Jesus] died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The opportunity is there for reconciliation with God. Jesus will accept all who come to Him, subject to the foreknowledge of God the Father, but for that to happen the path to Jesus needs to be opened up. This is how the congregation of the LORD works. But illegitimate children are excluded.
DEUTERONOMY . KJV . look up
22:28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
23:1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
Even in Lebanon there'd be a chance to encounter a true Christian who could explain about Jesus or to visit a Church since I understand these have not yet all been blown up. But think of the children born to these women. The Church which admits them is not in accordance with The Word Of God but rather have made something up for themselves, something different from what God commanded, something more in line with "modern" values. In no such Church will Redemption be available. You might as well go down to the nearest dubstep orgy and look for Salvation there. But for the child of married parents, access is permitted.
What about those who don't become pregnant? What are they to do? God, who made everyone and knows how revolting we are, has explained about that in The Bible:
PROVERBS . KJV . look up
30:14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
15a The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give.
15b-16b There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: The grave; and the barren womb;
16c-16d The earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
I have read the arguments trying to outdo God in their understanding of the world we live in, proposing different value systems having no basis in anything other than what everyone finds comfortable. Those are NOT standards described by God. His word is pure, reliable. Unchanging. Certain for Salvation. But God has foreknowledge and understands what will happen under various future scenarios. One thing He knows is that some people are excluded. Another thing He knows is who those people are. And He has told us. That is how I know too. I don't need to work anything out or invoke obscure theological interpretations. All I need to do is read The Bible. And that is why I was revolted.
Those poor creatures, being moved farther away from Salvation, farther even than they are now. Jesus is the answer. Turn to Him today.

Christians are Christians because we accept Jesus and follow God's laws as set out in His Holy Bible. You are not Christian. Stop deluding yourself and accept Jesus Christ into your heart. Learn and follow God's laws or prepare for the fiery pit.
And another thing- Where is your introduction, Mr. Rude Man?

Mr./Mrs./Miss Tableleg0;
You were just schooled in Biblical understanding by an admitted atheist. Seems to me that you don't have a table leg to stand on.

Well, we as Christians are free of the law of Moses, so I think it's pretty open. While killing the baby is wrong, charging the rapist is definitely a good idea. After all God hates lust!Originally posted by Brother_Percy View PostFriends,
I recently received a letter from a concerned parent. In the letter she told me that her daughter had been raped, but was refusing to marry her rapist as per Deuteronomy 22:28-29. The stupid girl actually wants to press charges on the man!
Not only that, but that she also plans to kill the poor unborn baby her rapist had given her! Sickening! Have young people today got NO morals?
Any and all advice on what I can say to convince this girl to do the right thing would be great. Should I start with the basics ?
"Whore, you'll burn in Hell for all eternity - unless you marry your rapist"??
Or should I go for a more subtle approach??
Scripture:
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (King James Version)
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

Re: What can you do if your daughter refuses to marry her rapist??
Dear Brothers of Landover Baptist Church;
Forgive me if this is not the exactly correct thread in which to address this concern, but it does seem to fit the overarching theme of the discussion, i.e., that a young woman who is raped is expected to marry the man who did the deed in order to be in compliance with Biblical Law.
There was a political ad on the television. The ad mentioned things going on in different countries such as homosexuals being prosecuted and women who were raped being sent to prison. Obviously, that last item doesn't represent the first, or best, option, which is for the girl to marry the man as has been discussed.
Now, what concerns me is that the ad was for Donald Trump's campaign. The general point was that the Clinton Foundation takes money from countries where the activities mentioned are practiced.
Of course, if those things are being done in obedience to the Lord God Jesus Christ and thus bring Glory to His Name, then they are right and good before The Almighty. Since those countries are likely to be run by Muslims, then perhaps we should be concerned about those practices.
I'm not certain if Donald Trump made a direct promise to stop those practices in other countries, but when he does become president, I am confident that he will find a way to control the social, political and legal attitudes of all the other countries in the world and make sure that they don't do things that we good, American people, don't like.
Still, as previously stated, I am uncertain here. If the governments are preventing homosexual sin and punishing rape victims with imprisonment (really, they should be stoned, but every lofty outcome has to start somewhere), then can we at least rejoice in the fact that fewer sins are being flaunted before Jesus' Sweet Eyes, even if the motivation for stamping out the sins isn't correct?
Again, please forgive me if I have wandered off-topic. Of course, enforcing Deuteronomy 22 here in these United States of America is the issue to hand and I do not mean to distract from it.
All the same, though, I am looking forward to President Trump grabbing all those other countries by the p&ssy and imposing his will upon them so that their societies and way of life correctly conforms to our own.
Optimistically Yours,
Handmaiden

I perceive that you are a public school man, friend. Why don't you calm down, go to the introduction forum and introduce yourself. If you have any pertinent information to impart, we are happy to read and discuss it with you. If you come as a ravening beast, as so many do, then you will be banned and damned to follow the smoldering footsteps of many who have come before you, down to the bowels of Hell.

As Brother Dr. White has explained there is zero twisting of God's Word regarding this issue.Originally posted by Redletter warrior View PostYou people are twisting Gods word and you know it how will you exsplain this befor the white throne on judgment day you disscrace the The word of god
The real question to be pondered is how is it possible to disgrace the Word of God using the Word of God?

Dear Sinner,Originally posted by Redletter warrior View PostYou people are twisting Gods word and you know it how will you exsplain this befor the white throne on judgment day you disscrace the The word of god
The judgment before the White Throne is, of course, a reality. It will occur after the Millennium.
Revelation 20:13
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
However, I am going to be there not as the accused but as a spectator, as I will have been Raptured (1 Thessalonians 4:17) before the Tribulations (Revelation 6-9), and having spent the millennium in Heaven, this will be most interesting to watch!

As for punishing the rapist, I really fail to understand how God's Word could be misinterpreted. It is Crystal Clear!
Deuteronomy 22:28-29
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
These verses contain lots of information as follows:
- The man violates a virgin girl.
- It is a sin and a crime.
- The crime deserves punishment.
- God has ordered that the man be punished.
- The punishment is severe.
- Is there a more severe punishment than a fine AND an unhappy marriage that is undoubtedly going to be an exhausting affair with lots of nagging and bitterness.
AND there is no chance of divorce. The man is financially and emotionally deprived of any future happiness. How on Earth would this not represent punishment of the severest kind?
I'm very worried about you, Dear Sinner, as your Biblical Education is most deficient.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

What's to misunderstand? The Scripture says that they are to be married, right? The girl was refusing to comply with [what these people believe to be] God's clearly expressed and unambiguous wish. How could anyone who considers themself to be a Christian approve of her actions?Originally posted by Redletter warrior View PostOh my heart is heavy and my anger burns at the madness of this misrepresentation of Gods holy word .you clearly lack an understanding of oldtestment law...
No, you read it. See what it says? "...for ye are all one in Christ Jesus..." <--- that bit. She's not "in Christ Jesus" if she's in rebellion against His word, now, is she?...Also read galatians 3:28 that might help with your hyper sexist bull squat...
Lol, every position in God's Kingdom is one of servitude (except God's)....A postion of athority in Gods kingdom is one of servatude or did you forget our Lord Jesus died on a cross for us he washed the feet of his friends...
So He bought someone lunch. Whooop de dooo. Pastor Zeke does that all the time.... and filled the bellys of the 5000...
No, He took a convenient opportunity to mock some hypocrites (curiously, that's one of my favourite habits...He resucued the wemon caught in adultry...
). As for the woman? He knew that she was still going to burn in Hell for eternity if she didn't acknowledge Him as her Lord and Master and beg forgiveness for dishonouring her husband so grievously, so what if she doesn't die immediately? He's in no rush.
Are you expecting Brother Percy to start healing people by touch, now?...and cured the wemon who latched to his garment...
The point is, your God lays out the punishment that He sees appropriate in this case in Deuteronomy. Why are you so anxious to see people disobey God's commands?...My advice read a bible before you are exsposed as a fake and the man who raped this girl is guilty of a crime he should be prosocuted end of story...

Once I knew this gal a few years older than me Kelly Thompson and she got herself raped by one of those old McGintly boys and somebody shot him and buried him down in the holler and I wonder if she should have married him fore or after they shot him cause she went on to marry old Clayton Kelly and now her name is Kelly Kelly and that always made me laugh. Have a nice day.

Re: What can you do if your daughter refuses to marry her rapist??
I had plans to wait until I was married before engaging in any sexual act, however my husband....he did not agree with these plans. My protests were unheeded, and there are those who would consider our initial physical encounter to be rape. However I turned to psalms, and found my guidance in 'psalms 27:8. 'wash me thoroughly from my inequity and cleanse me from my sin'.
It became obvious to me that my protests were inefficient and I sinned in some way by leading my husbands desires beyond his control. By marrying him, it would correct the sin. And everyone knows a husband cannot rape wife, as a wife cannot deny her husband anything. Once we married, my husband also disciplined me for being to him a tempting vision before we were married. He told me the day after this so called rape that I would be his wife, and I would not want for anything again once I ensured I kept him happy and did not deny him anything. He did not even claim his 50 shekels.
