    What should I do?

My son recently came out and told me he was gay. Naturally, I was shocked and afraid for him and told him that the only way he can be healed is through Jesus. He said that's what he knew I would say and ran off to his room crying. I don't know how to reach him. Can you good folks tell me how to reach him?

No problem. Kick his face in and throw him out of the house. That should give him the message.

I am so sorry for your loss, Betty. This thread here contains information from Focus on the Family about how to cure your gay son.

In the meantime, we will be praying that the Lord will give you the strength you need.

I have to tell you that I am highly alarmed by his reply that "that's what he knew [you] would say". That tells me that he knows what he is doing is wrong and that he has probably already rejected Christ from his life. Only Jesus knows if your son has run completely out of chances to accept Him, so I will be praying for his salvation, too.

Upon request I will cite scripture for all these facts in God's Holy Word.

        That's what Jesus would want.

Lady, I'm sure you know that God sends queers like your son to eternal hellfire. But did you know that He also sends anyone who's nice to them to hell too?

Look at Romans 1:31-32. It might save your eternal soul.
        Who Will Jesus Damn?

You should tell him, he's fine. None of us are going to hell no matter what these ignorants are saying. Kicking someone out because they thing differnty? Monster the lot of you are.

Maybe, just maybe, you could take a little advice from somebody who actually cares about other people.
My advice? He's probably feeling very vulnerable and scared and he just wants to know his parents will still love him wether he's gay or straight.
You could tell him he's evil and going to hell and all the garbage the other people here would say and he'll still be gay, but at least while he'll be attracted to men, he'll pretend to be straight and spend years in therapy getting over his new parent induced problems.
The second choice is to show him love and understanding and compassion. Everyone will be happier and healthier for it. Well, the members of LBC won't be happy, but I don't think anything makes them happy.
Now that Obama is president I get to watch my wife have one of those black guys he promised her.

It makes me happy when sinners decide to give up their life of sin, turn their lives around, and start living for Jesus. That happens every week at my church, so I'm happy all the time. PRAISE the sweet name of Jesus!

Have no sympathy for him, regardless of how scared or sad he is.

Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, not an incurable disease. Although I think you'd have to be pretty sick in the head to choose something like this to begin with.

The best thing to do is to call a family meeting, sit him down and tell him exactly what the Bible says about homosexuality.

I personally think he's acting very selfish, as he obviously doesn't care about the uncomfortable position he has put you and your husband in by becoming a sodomite.

Well then, why are you worried about your son? No matter if you kick him out or not, you can still spend time with him in Hell
