    Why beat adults?

Hello. I've noticed that some of you advocate spanking adults (that is, 18+) as a punishment. I have a few concerns. For instance, as they are now legally adults (and more likely then not, living separately too), what authority do you hold over them? If they are watching R rated movies, so? They are legally adults now. Their minds are mature enough to see nudity and violence. So, my question is, why do some of you, as parents, think they have the right to discipline them?

Our authority comes from Jesus as written in the Holy KJV Bible. If you can find me a scripture that says parents are no longer responsible for their children once they come of age, I'll be happy to agree with you.

Since you're nothing but a God-mocking troll, I can't imagine why anyone should care what you think. Jesus is all that counts.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

So your authority comes from an ancient book that holds little meaning in our day to day lives? Jesus is not all that matters, living your life (your ONLY life) to the fullest is what matters, because buddy, once its gone, you have nothing.

I DO, however, know of a little thing called "battery" and its the legal consequence of beating a legal adult (scripture approved or not) without their consent.

No it isn't. It's the definition of a violation of a secular law. The consequence is up to a judge or jury, IF someone files a charge, which no one does in our gated and PRIVATE community, and IF all of the elements of the crime are proven.

Go to You Tube and look up a video called "don't mess with Santa". Then come back and tell me who is guilty of what in that fifteen second clip.

The guilty person is "santa" because the kids were just messing around, and he took revenge too far.
Landover does not have a gated and private community.
By the way, the clip was 35 seconds.

Are you so egotistical that you question the word of God?!
