Of course. The fact that the book refers to very young girls full of sexural innuendo has nothing to do with a "fashion" where people try to look like very young girls with lots of sexural innuendo.

    That makes sense!
    haha, you're actually an idiot,
chink is a racical slur aimed at the CHINESE
"Chink is a racial slur for a person of Chinese [1] descent."
    get your races right!

that being said, its still racist,
which is very christian like from what I've seen in this thread

and actually, the fashion is not aimed at looking like 'little girls'

because the clothing in this picture is OH SO CHILDISH, I THOUGHT SHE WAS 5 YEARS OLD
    (note; sarcasm)

but i guess since your such an expert on the fashion, you know everything right? how'd that last JSK fit you? have fun at AP's tea party? Whats your favorite loli magazine?

maybe you shouldn't judge things before you actually understand them, okay, thanks

if you have to keep telling yourself that to fool yourself into thinking you are not a pedophile or a pedophile's plaything, go right ahead.

    Lolita is just a word.
A word that I had to look up in an American dictionary for you since you are too lazy to do it yourself. What don't you understand about the definition? Wait...did you work for Clinton?

You are missing the point! The point is that you are taking race into the account and using it against them to get a point across. Why do I have to explain this to someone who 'worships god', when you should love everybody.

Firstly, I was not getting angry at God
I was angry at the utter ignorance in the thread

Those particular meanings do not apply to the fashion actually, the term 'lolita' for the fashion, began in the 70ies by the Japanese who donned it 'rorita'.

I have never seen the word nymphet used, nor its meaning preformed in the lolita fashion.

The book and the fashion are a completely different thing. Lolita is just a word.

    Oh really?

    Lolita -

    1. a novel (1955) by Vladimir Nabokov.
    2. nymphet (def. 2).

    Origin:
sense “nymphet” after the novel's title character
    Nymphet -

    nym·phet (nim-fet', nim'fit)
    n. A pubescent girl regarded as sexually desirable.
    Lolita -

Lolita (1955) is a novel by Vladimir Nabokov, first written in English and published in 1955 in Paris, later translated by the author into Russian and published in 1958 in New York. The book is internationally famous for its innovative style and infamous for its controversial subject: the protagonist and unreliable narrator, middle aged Humbert Humbert, becomes obsessed and sexually involved with a twelve-year-old girl named Dolores Haze.
    ...
The name "Lolita" has entered pop culture to describe a sexually precocious young girl.
Now who should do some research before getting angry with God?

Please don't reply saying, "God is white", "No, god isn't of any race". It doesn't matter because everything you reply is biased.

Why do you care so much about a persons race? They have not done one single thing to you personally.

I dislike that you have to think so poorly of others...

I know I'm feeding trolls here, but whatever.

This is honestly the most ridiculous thing I have ever read, I personally am not christian but I have attended a christian school for eight years, been to church, read the bible, have close christian friends and have respect for christianity.

This thread however, has made me loose much respect for this religion. I have never seen such hatred and anger towards other human beings, and by adults none the less, its appalling.

'Lolita' is a fashion. Its neither inspired by the book nor by the devil, maybe you should do some research before making such accusations? The idea of the fashion is not to 'seduce older men' nor to look 'like a harlot or whore' its because the people who wear it LIKE how it looks. What they wear has nothing to do with YOU, so maybe you should try being less judgmental.

Honestly, you think this fashion looks slutty, why don't we compare it too some other, more american, clothing

OH LOOK AT THAT LOLITA, SHES SO SLUTTY SHOWING OFF HER NECK AND SHOULDERS, SHE SHOULD ROT IN HELL FOR BEING A WHORE (please note sarcasm)

how could someone honestly say something like this and mean it? I am seriously disgusted, no one 'deserves' to be raped. Do you think jesus would see someone dressed in this particular style and be like "OH HAY BITCH, YOU GUNNA GET RAPED FOR DRESSIN' LIKE THAT"
no he wouldn't because unlike you, he's not an asshole

seriously guys, lighten the fuck up,
its fashion, I doubt jesus would care

and by the way, a lot of you are racist pigs,
and if you were going to be in heaven, I would honestly rather go to hell than have to spend eternity with judgmental, cruel people like you've demonstrated.

Not my logic, a fact of life.

Some Lolitas' are actually normal little five year old girls. Not all Lolita's are children though. Most Lolita's are 15 and older. Certainly old enough they are playing with fire and asking for trouble.

You missed part of it. You have a gun you cannot handle and when people cannot handle a gun, accidents happen. It is not the man's fault a rape occurs, it is the Lolitas' for being so irresponsible.

The History of Lolita To Americans, the word "lolita" usually means something along the lines of "a sexually desirable young girl". So when they hear a girl wearing a cute, frilly dress being called a Lolita, they would usually begin to wonder. This is because in 1955, author Vladimir Nabokov wrote a novel about a grown man, who was obsessed with a twelve-year-old girl. This novel, titled "Lolita", became quite popular, and the word and it's meaning became known around the world. Of course, lolita fashion has nothing to do with the novel "Lolita" other than the name. People often wonder why the Japanese decided to use the name Lolita, and my only guess is that they might have gotten lost in translation and thought Lolita simply meant a young girl, as opposed to well, a sex kitten (for lack of better words). However, the lolita fashion had roots that go back much farther than the book. The Lolita style is inspired by the beautiful clothing of the Victorian era, the Edwardian era, and the Rococo movement. But of course, the Lolita fashion we know of today is much different than the historic fashions it is based on some of the elements of the eras. The person most credited for helping popularize the Lolita fashion is Mana, of the band Malice Mizer. Just looking at a picture of Mana, dressed in a beautiful, Gothic Lolita dress, you would never be able to guess that he was really a man. He is also the creater of Moi-Meme-Moitie, which is considered by many to be one of the most elite Lolita brands. Many people believe that Mana is the person who actually created Lolita, but he actually just coined the terms for Elegant Gothic Lolita and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat. In the 1990s Lolita began to get more and more popular. Durring the '90s, Visual Kei music was becoming very popular. The musicians of this genre were known for their vibrant, flamboyant costumes, and some becan using elements that came to be known as Gothic Lolita. Eventually, fans becan to imitate these musicians in the way they dressed, and soon these costumes became popular street fashion. At this time, Lolita clothing was handmade by the wearer. Eventually, the fashion became so popular that it led the the establishment of many Lolita brand stores all across Japan. From there, Lolita fashion branched out, adopting new elements and creating new styles of lolita, from sweet to punk, aristocrat to erotic, lolita was becoming much more than just something worn by visual kei fans. Today, Gothic and Lolita fashion is loved, not only in Japan, but in countries all around the world. Thanks to the internet, Lolitas in America can buy brand name Lolita clothing without ever having to leave their home. Lolitas can be found just about anywhere if you search hard enough. From Japan, to Europe, to the United States, Lolitas can be found meeting up in theaters, amusement parks, gardens, just about anywhere to talk about their favorite brands and styles

I can't recall any other reason for using that sort of "fashion" as you all call it than to be touched by every men!
