This Pastor seems a bit on liberal side to me. He kept comparing beating with a rod, as God commands, to spanking. If God had wanted us to spank our kids, he would have said "Do not Spare the spanking".
When Mr. Liberal Pastor finally mentions the "rod" he uses, he says it's a small dowel. I don't remember reading the word "dowel" anywhere in my KJV1611. If God says rod, he means rod!sigpic
