  • Backpacking in Europe? More like Crackpacking!

    Friends,

When children finish high school, many of them like to engage in a ritual called "Backpacking around Europe".

They say they will be in museums and art galleries and old ruins. Since when have children in their late teens been interested in that? TIME Magazine tells us the REAL reason children go backpacking in Europe:
Pop quiz: Which European country has the most liberal drug laws?

....Portugal, which in 2001 became the first European country to officially abolish all criminal penalties for personal possession of drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine....jail time was replaced with the offer of therapy.

...five years after personal possession was decriminalized, illegal drug use among teens in Portugal declined (of coure ILLEGAL use declined, seeing as it's not ILLEGAL anymore! Legalizing murder would also reduce illegal murders!) and rates of new HIV infections caused by sharing of dirty needles dropped, (Just means the addicts are getting greedier, and sharing less.) while the number of people seeking treatment for drug addiction more than doubled. (Yes, and people seeking treatent for murder would increase if murder was legalized - what's your point, liberal media?)
The rest of the article is so idiotic that I don't even need to point out its absurdity. It's like a catalogue of liberal media cliches and talking points. You really have to see it for yourself.

Here's another reason legalizing drugs caused their use to decline: the availibility of drugs caused the drug-addicts to overdose and die. Of course this phenomenom only happens in Europe, where there's a beaurocrat between you and your doctor, and he's probably smoking pot also. Here in America, the overdose-ees would survive, due to our flawless Health System.

When I was first sent to Czechoslovakia, Marywanna was only illegal to sell. You could grow it, smoke it, give it away, or whatever. Well let me tell you the powers that be quickly discovered the errors in their ways and made possession of the horrible stuff illegal! You no longer see it in the streets or in restaurants. Thank God for common sense.
      Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

          What's with the anger, friend?

I don't really see the correlation between traveling and reaching a certain social status. I can count on one hand the number of times that I've traveled outside the Godly state of Iowa, and yet I am one of the most trusted farmers in the area. I am not regarded this highly because I bummed across Europe on mommy and daddy's dime, but because God has granted me business sense and a green thumb.

By the way, what's a mofo? Is that like an afro?

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Son, I'm really starting to take offense to you calling me lame. I may be getting up there in years, but all my parts are in good working order. So unless "lame" has some newfangled slang meaning, please reserve the use of the word for, say, a horse with a cracked hoof or a cow with a broken leg.

I can't imaging letting your kids go to Europe alone. Even worse would be to let them drive around Europe, since the cars drive on the wrong side of the road and the cars have their steering wheels on the passenger's side. Who ever thought that would be a good idea?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

                      Wrong.

I'm pretty sure the English are allowed to drive their backwards cars over to Europe, so you're wrong, there.
