Had he just asserted that he was not convinced of any God claims, the Burden of Proof would be on us (and we have repeatedly met it with the Bible). Now, however, he has to prove that God is guilty of not existing. I'm really waiting to see his reply, because as an unbiased Creation Scientist, I am ready to change my mind and abandon Jesus whenever someone can prove with 100% accuracy that there is absolutely no probability of Him existing. I understand its not here to appeal to my interests, if it did then I wouldn't be talking to you like I am because I would share the same white supremacist, blatantly racist (but I think those two go in the same category), homophobic, and just downright crazy beliefs that you all have.

Most of what I wrote in the post you quoted were directed to the banned and not-particularly-lamented-because-of-his-rudeness Bruhman. I included your quote to provide context for the comments directed to that person.

I have bolded a few of your more recent comments so that I can speak to them specifically. You figure that you know God pretty well. Honestly, I don't think that you do. Perhaps if you go back and read the Bible for a third time and don't gloss over the parts where God directs genocides and codifies but does not condemn rape and slavery, then you will understand that your pastor is watering down and sweetening the strong, distinctive flavor that is Almighty God as described in His own Holy World.


Following God-- as He reveals Himself in His Word-- and obeying all His edicts is not for the faint-hearted. That is why most churches don't teach the whole Bible. They cherry-pick its chapters to cater to modern sensibilities (even though God states that He is unchanging) and keep the sheep in the seats.


Landover Baptist doesn't shy away from shining a light on the more controversial contents of the Bible. That's why people come here and state that our beliefs are crazy. But said beliefs are not crazy; there are quite simply, Biblical.


If you don't like what the Bible has to say, please take it up with God because we didn't write it, He did.
