    I'm having a daughter...

    And I was wondering, when would be the best time to sell her into slavery? This is my first child, and I'm not sure when it's best. I want to make sure that both parties (mine and the offering family when the time comes) get the most out of it. Any help would be appreciated!

    BTW, love this forum! It's so great to be among other people who will be in the Glory of God forever!

      I am thinking by slavery you mean an arranged marriage. We don't like to think of it as slavery really, more like for her own good. Arranged marriages are wonderful because it takes all the pressure off of her little mind and lets her concentrate on housework and her recipes. It also depends on the stock of the boys family. Are the parents and the grandparents Saved? Does this man have the proper means to support your daughter and keep her safe at home where she can procreate in peace? There are many, many things to consider. You should probably sit down with a Landover Pastor and discuss it in depth so her 16th birthday/wedding party isn't a complete shock.
      Remember what happened to Mrs Palins daughter. That might explain why such a Heavenly woman as Sarah had such a horrible baby.

          But, according to Exodus 21:7-11"

          And if a man sells his daughter to be a female slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do. If she does not please the master who has selected her for himself, he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners, because he has broken faith with her. If he selects her for his son, he must grant her the rights of a daughter. If he marries another woman, he must not deprive the first one of her food, clothing and marital rights. If he does not provide her with these three things, she is to go free, without any payment of money.


          It says slavery very clearly. Are arranged marriages the same thing?

              Unfortunately this is another case of Mans law interfering with Gods law. Another example is all the Goths you see everywhere, Gods law says suffer not a witch to live, mans law says beating a goth until they accept Jesus is illegal.

              You don't even know if she's going to be a retard like Trig. That makes a difference.

                  I suppose being able to stone my kid if she gets out of line is another example? how about those who work on Sunday?

                  And should I get my brother to cut his hair? It's pretty long, and that's shameful, if I'm not mistaken. I've been trying to tell him this for years, but he just won't listen!

                                          You have probably done something God dislike id he gives you a daughter, then you should take the punishment.
