One should not take pleasure in hitting their children for punishment. It is a task meant to keep them on the path of the Lord.

I also firmly believe that if hitting children when they break the Lord's laws is alright, even if they do it accidentally (somehow I doubt you people differentiate between purpose and accident when it comes to your children breaking the rules), then adults should be punished in the same way. Strong beatings whenever you step even the teensiest bit out of line. And maybe just every once in a while anyway to make up for any bad thoughts you might have had...maybe when you were dreaming or something. That's not just for women, but for men as well. Yes, I believe that full grown men who believe that children should be beaten for God must also admit that they too have sinful natures and must bare themselves for punishment. Perhaps have whoever is in charge of your church use one of those golf clubs someone was mentioning either earlier in this post or in another post. Or something along those lines. The person in charge, of course, will have to designate one of his people to punish him when he is disobedient.
