Re: Question: Present for my daughter's sixth birthday

Try some in the new .17 HRM. perfect little gun for our little girl. Has no recoil, lightweight, and great for plinking neighborhood squrrels and nigras.
Nice to see you want to start her off right.

HELLO! you really want a Barrett .416 or a .50, but six year old girls can't set up the reloader, so they have to start out with with .22LR, .17s or something like a Winchester .22 gallery rifle. NO SCOPES FOR KIDS! Let them learn the right way to shoot.

        Hi, Al!
Right. It's always good to start without a scope, but it's pretty hard to shoot a mile away without one. I started with a scope when I was nine. My real dad taught me to shoot an SVD and he helped me make my first guilly. Give me and Jack a few permits during huntin' season and there won't be any animals left!

But kids need to get as accurate as they can without a scope. You can't always rely on them. And if you want to get really good, best be learning your trig, spin-drift, wind velocity, Earth rotation, drop time, physics, etc...

As in Dragunov SVD?? It may be a quite good gun (though by no means a real sniper rifle) but..
What is your dad doing with such a communist gun?
And it wasn't even an original one was it? But an Al Kadesih! (ie an Iraqian clone.)
          Better come clean, young lady.

Isn't it true that your "dad" was actually an Iraqi-russian terrorist who taught you to shoot at some terrorist camp in Towelheadistan??
Somebody get this girl's DOF file! Something isn't right here.

I hate to admit it, but I have a Dragunov, a new, unfired SKS and a ~new~ Nagant in 7.62x59R marked 1942.

Well, of course it's no problem for us to have such guns, Pastor..
I myself even have THE communist weapon, an AK-47 (well, a 103, close enough.)
But that's no problem as we are True Christians who have Jesus so we can reject the evils of communism..

Someone who is feeble-minded (such as a woman) and unsaved on top of that, however..
Should stay well clear of such weapons.
Just in case they carry communist demons or such similar, causing the owner to become a socialist.

As I recall you swiped that gun from Stalin's personal collection while doing to missionary work during the war. Or am I confusing that with a different episode?

You are confusing that with my Grandfather! And be quiet, the Russkies still don't know where these went!

Nope. Jack's an American. When he was green and there were still threats of nuclear war, he was shipped to Russia and picked one up there. The Dragunov SVD (original) was the smallest sniper rifle he had at the moment. He didn't want me breaking my shoulder with the biggies. He's had it forever... He won't sell it, claims it saved his life on more than one occasion.

The Dragunov isn't really a sniper rifle..
