Lizzy and the Devil's Birthday Party

It was that time of year once again. Leaves of red and gold rode on chilly gusts of wind, and all the unsaved families in the neighborhood had pumpkins with sinister grins aglow on their porches.
Lizzy admired the festive pagan colors as she rode home from the grocery store with mother.
She was 15 now and allowed to ride in the front seat of the car as long as father or brother were not present.
Lizzy admired the festive pagan colors as she rode home from the grocery store with mother.
She was 15 now and allowed to ride in the front seat of the car as long as father or brother were not present.
Lizzy had been planning on asking mother a question all evening, but had not yet worked up the nerve.
All of the girls would be getting together for a Halloween party tomorrow night, and nobody but nobody would be absent from such a bash! Brittany would be there, Trish, Megan, and Nicole!
Lizzy knew it was now or never, so she asked mother if she might attend the party.
Mother slammed on the brakes and came to a screeching halt. (Father had always instructed her that she, a woman, should never attempt to run her mouth and operate a motor vehicle at the same time.)
"Lizzy!" exclaimed mother, "Tomorrow is Halloween! Your father certainly won't have his only daughter attending the devil's birthday party! And besides, I will need your help tomorrow night preparing Bible baskets to give out to unsuspecting Trick or Treaters!"
"Oh but mother," protested Lizzy, "All of the girls will be there!"
"There are no buts about it," interrupted mother, "You're not going! Now be quiet so I can continue to attempt to operate this motor vehicle!"
That night in a secret telephone conversation, Lizzy told Megan she couldn't attend.
"Oh Lizzy that's, like, bummer! You know we are all going to, like, be there! And like, Brad is coming, so is Shane, and Big Ben!"
Lizzy thought about it for a moment and replied, "Sorry Megan, I can't come to your house tomorrow night."
"Oh, like Lizzy, haven't you, like, heard? We aren't having it at my house, we are all going to pile into Brad's 4x4 and go up to the lake!"
At that point, it was too much and Lizzy had to say yes. She would simply have to find a way to sneak out tomorrow.
She spent the next day thinking about how she would make her escape.
Lizzy would tell mother and father that GOD had impressed her to go around the neighborhood handing out Bible tracts!
She was surprised when her parents agreed to let her go, but only if she was back by 8:00 PM sharp.
Lizzy quickly put on her big coat with the extra large pockets that grandma had given her last Christmas for the purpose of smuggling Bibles into California because grandma thought Bibles were illegal there because her Christian brain had nearly been exterminated by Obamacare.
She gave mother a deceitful kiss goodbye and slipped out the door.
At the lake it didn't take the party long to get started, oh and what a party it was!
They had a bonfire, alcoholic beverages, candy, and cigarettes. The boys and girls kissed and fondled each other for hours, stopping only for a moment to switch off.
Just when it seemed the party was about to die down, Big Ben pulled something out of his pants. Lizzy had never seen anything like it before! It was hard and smooth and Big Ben said it was called an Ouija board.
Lizzy had heard of them in church and knew they were evil, but she had already rebelled against GOD so much and nothing bad had happened yet, so what was the harm?
The kids all gathered around the warm fire to play with the Big Ben's wooden toy.
They asked the board who would marry who in the group, what their test scores in school would be, and if their parents knew where they were.
But as the evening wore on the questions became more and more serious, and the fire began to die, casting an eerie glow over the woods.
Lizzy started to become a little scared, but she kept telling herself it was silly to be afraid of a board game.
Then, Shane placed his hand on the planchette and asked "Is there anyone else here besides us."
Slowly it moved to the "YES" answer. The boys and girls let out an "oooooohhhh" and Shane insisted that he was barely touching the wood.
"Who?" He asked in his most manly voice.
Slowly the planchette moved under Shane's hand, and the reply was "Legion."
Nobody understood what it meant, except Lizzy. Her face turned a pale white as she recalled the Bible story of the man possessed by multiple demons.
"We should leave." Lizzy said gravely.
The other kids pointed their fingers at her and chanted together, "Lizzy's a coward, Lizzy's a coward!"
"Am... Am not!" Defended Lizzy.
"Like, prove it!" Shouted Megan. "Go out there into the woods and kiss Legion!"
"Kiss Legion! Kiss Legion!" The kids started chanting.
"Okay fine, I will!" Said Lizzy as she marched triumphantly towards the looming forest
Deep down she was terrified and asked GOD to get her out of the dreadful situation she had gotten herself into. She wanted to go home. It was past midnight and her parents were certainly worried sick.
"DO IT!" Called Big Ben's voice from behind her. Oh, how Lizzy wanted to impress him!
"L... Legion?" She cautiously spoke. "Give me a kiss baby!"
"Whooooooo!" Exclaimed the drunken teenagers behind her.
Suddenly, a freezing gust of wind encircled Lizzy and she was thrown to the ground. The other kids jumped up and ran towards her, but they were thrown back.
Lizzy began to scream and wail in a voice that wasn't her own, and she thrashed about in the leaves.
"Like, what's happening?" Shrieked Megan.
Lizzy stumbled to her feet, and turned to face the other kids. Her eyes glowed like a feral animal, and she ran screaming towards them. Lizzy threw herself on Big Ben and started to chew on his face. He tried to throw her back but he couldn't.
The other kids all surrounded Big Ben and together they managed to pry Lizzy off him. Lizzy spun around and punched Megan in the face with supernatural force and Megan went flying back into the fire pit.
She ignited almost instantly and went tearing into the woods in a ball of fire, sending various shrubs, dead trees and dry leaves up in flames.
Lizzy cackled like a witch and then grabbed Brittany and Nicole and started banging their heads together until the boys managed to pry her loose yet again.
"GO GET HELP!" Screamed Trish.
Brad scurried into his 4x4 and disappeared in a cloud of dust.
At that point, GOD mercifully intervened and sent Pastor Jim from Lizzy's own church, who was out hunting Wiccans, to see what all the commotion was about.
Lizzy was writhing about in the arms of all three boys, and at first Pastor Jim thought it was a pagan sex ritual before Trish screamed that she had attempted to put the moves on Legion. So he was basically right anyway.
Without a word, Pastor Jim yanked out his 11 pound KJV 1611 Commemorative Bible with the gold-trimmed pages and smashed Lizzy over the head with it. The boys released her and she slumped to the ground.
Pastor Jim began kicking the girl in the stomach screaming, "IN JESUS NAME, COME OUT OF THIS YOUNG WOMAN, THOU UNCLEAN SPIRITS!"
Lizzy started flailing again and Pastor Jim had to knock her over the head six more times with the end of his shotgun before she finally became still.
Pastor Jim spied the Ouija board, and without a word he stormed over to the devil's toy and kicked it into the fire.
Suddenly, the sound of demonic voices screaming in agony burst from the fire pit as the Ouija board went up in smoke.
The next morning Lizzy awoke in her bed with a throbbing headache. Mother was there, applying a cold washcloth to her forehead.
"Wha... what happened?" Moaned Lizzy.
Mother told her that Pastor Jim dropped her off at the house last night and had told them the whole story.
Because of Lizzy's disobedience to her parents, she had permanently scarred Big Ben's face, Megan was in the hospital with 3rd degree burns after having set a good portion of the forest on fire, Brad ruined his 4x4 by smashing into a deer on his way for help, Shane was traumatized, Trish wouldn't be able to talk for a week from all her screaming, Brittany and Nicole both had concussions from having their heads banged together repeatedly, and farmer Tom had lost his entire herd of swine when the demons possessed them and drove them into the river.
From then on Lizzy thanked JESUS every day for sparing her life that night. She cut off all contact with her secular friends, and started reading her Bible daily.
Disobeying our parents is never a good idea, especially if it's to dabble in the occult. Fortunately, the power of JESUS CHRIST is greater than any demon, shout glory!
