Please help - Son marriage issues

Dear Peoples of Christianity,

My son Oleg has recently come of marrying age (16), and has found his wife. Unfortunate, she is from family who recently moved to our Godly village from heathen Moscow. My son has asked for girl's hand, and I offer her father two of my best mules! But the father say that girl is "Free to make own choice!"

She has reject my son, saying she does not feel attracted to him. This is lies, my son is beautiful, well-built boy with fiery red hair and skin as white as Jesus:





How do I make her father see sense? How does the Bible approach this?

I am not an expert in these areas yet. However, my hackles rise at what this father says. Does he truly mean to allow the girl her own choice?

If not, then why isn't he man enough to tell you such a marriage is against his own wishes? Why hide behind a girl child? Surely, you wouldn't want your grandchildren to inherit that sort of unGodly weakness. If so, the situation is even worse. That father has deliberately raised a willful Jezebel that will only bring grief to your son. She is a ruined young woman that puts lust before good family values.

Thank God you discovered this before offering more mules to force the deal. Run from this harlot, praising Jesus' Glory all the way home!

The weight of your offspring is the first issue. He is an attractive young buck, but somewhat portly. As always, Scripture addresses this:

"Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:" Proverbs 23:20 - KJV

Once you reduce his substantial girth, we can address the courting issues. God clearly doesn't like fat people and we must align our priorities with Him.

Whoa cowboy. No True Christian™ would ever advocate rape or any sin. God tells us of the appropriate punishment for sin, but does NOT tell us to encourage wicked acts.

I hate to say it, but I would just leave that one alone. Count your blessings that you found out now as opposed to finding out after they got married and your son had to put up with her for the rest of his life.

Proverbs 9:13 A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

Proverbs 11:22 As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

Proverbs 21:9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

You say that this family just moved to your area? That's probably why your son is so fascinated with her.

Proverbs 5:3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

Proverbs 6:24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

Proverbs 23:27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

I would suggest that you have your son sit down and MEMORIZE Proverbs, then go looking for a woman that fits.

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

We have exile family from our village back to Moscow:

I have now work on reduce weight of my son in Christian fashion. I do not want him to end up stab with sword like fat King Eglon!
