Although Israel had no king during the time of The Judges, that is presented BY GOD as a preferable circumstance. Sure, there were maniacs on the loose - and they were dealt with appropriately. BY GOD, directly, or through The Judges. Remember that the Levites were set aside as a priestly caste at the time of Moses when The Law was handed down.

Sure, the Israelites took advantage of Moses' short absence to have a grotesque and idolatrous sex orgy but that did not mean there were no consequences. Let's check out The Bible:

Nonsense. A person has the ability to choose how to react. Some people prefer to wallow in self-pity, while others take advantage of the lesson of love, even when delivered in an unexpected way.

all I know with stirrups and whips God does not say but they want the men. They do not want the women (asses are not mentioned in this context, but we know God was protecting asses at this point). Observe how in verse 23 the intentions of these brutes is described as "wicked" as "folly" but there is an alternative, something NOT wicked NOT foolish.

By chucking them a concubine and a daughter to mess up proper could their lusts be assuaged? No. But they got their paws on the concubine anyway (the daughter disappears from the narative here they probably just raped her on sight and attended more fully to the concubine who, I guess, would at least know what was expected at an all-nighter) God indeed takes care of everyone even that donkey snug in the stable soft on fragrant hay.

We'll come Home when the Good LORD calls us Home, and not a moment sooner.



Personally, I'd like to come Home, to my real Home that is. I imagine in God's House, in a giant mansion, I will have a room all to myself. I won't be spending all my days in the kitchen and cleaning bathrooms and laundry, and paying the bills creatively with a budget that doesn't make sense. I imagine I might even get to sleep for more than 4 hours at a time in a big, luxurious mansion (John 14:2). Of course, as the Bride to Jesus, I won't want to sleep at all. Instead I'll be singing His Praises, but I won't ever get tired of it, probably. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The point is, we will all die. All of us. The question is, where will YOU go when you do?
