Did you bother to read the original post? There are two instances in the Bible where a man is threatened by a mob, and he sends his daughter(s) out to the mob for them to use as a sex toy to assuage their anger.

This is considered perfectly appropriate behavior in the Bible, because women are property.

How is inviting a visitor to rape your virgin daughter the same as committing adultery?

It isn't, but you do realise that rape is a major criminal offence, and will get you jail time, right? And then there's the 'inviting' part. That is cruel to your daughter beyond imagining. Pretend you're your daughter, and your father was offering you up to get screwed by a man which you neither knew nor loved. And isn't sex before marriage a sin? IF that's the case, you're practically condemning your own daughter to burn in hell.

I remember reading this story before I was saved. My reaction to it then seems so alien to me now. I remember thinking that it was wrong to push a woman into a crowd to be gang raped in the hope of protecting yourself. I thought it was wrong to sleep soundly while this was going on. I thought it was a bit strange to leave her on the doorstep while you were too busy to check her condition. I also thought it was wrong to rebuke her and then cut her up.

I can now see that I was in error. As I was without God I had no moral compass and was using my own thoughts. I can now clearly see that these actions are moral because otherwise God would have condemned them.

This is absolutely insane. First off, if you are to read on in 1 Corinthians chapter 11 you will find that it says this: "Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born from woman."

As for the passage from Judges, you have taken this out of context as well. A traveler is returning from Bethlehem with his concubine and servant when they stop in Gibeah for the night. Because no one would let them stay the night they are invited to stay with an old man. While at his house, the “wicked men” from the town came to the house, wishing to have sexual relations with the man. Instead, the old man offers his daughter and concubine. This is in order that they men would not commit such a vile sin. Also, after raping the concubine, the man cuts her up and sends out her body parts to the twelve tribes of Israel so that they might see what evil thing those men had done, because what they did to her was evil. And the Israelites were astounded, and they said (in verse 30) “Such a thing has never been seen or done, not since the day the Israelites came up out of Egypt. Just Imagine! We must do something! So speak up!”
And in the very next chapter, it says that “All Israel from Dan to Beersheba and from the land of Gilead came together as one and assembled before the Lord.” They go on to unite as a massive army against the Benjamites. (Chapter 20:10) “Then, when the army arrives at Gibeah in Benjamin, it can give them what they deserve for this outrageous act done in Israel.”

Also, in those times there was no such thing as Christians or Liberals.

So no, sir, you are very wrong. You are disgracing not only God’s holy vision for a relationship between man and woman but also his Word by taking it out of context in these ways.

yeah your right, its sad that things are this way..... i have yet to be married yet and im almost 21 is that bad? my parents are sinners and im trying to find the way to jesus by myself but it is proving to be very confusing not having been properly brought up.

Neither was I (Presbyterian), nor my wife (fuzzy bunny baptist). God calls who he calls, unfortunately it seems that you may have been called but not your parents.

The best way to get right with God, is to read the King James Version Bible, learn it and LIVE IT! Don't second guess it, don't let modern morality get in the way, don't let satan tell you that God wrote one thing but means something else. The Bible says what it means and means what it says!

yeah your right, its sad that things are this way..... i have yet to be married yet and im almost 21 is that bad? my parents are sinners and im trying to find the way to jesus by myself but it is proving to be very confusing not having been properly brought up.

hello when i was in boot camp my assigned bunk buddy was a girl
she was very slim and very shy at first but boy.... could she run... she ran circles around every man every staff sgt at sand hill. No one could beat her in the obstacles.
shes now in the us rangers special forces
so anyone who says women are not stronger smarter is clearly ignorant.
it depends on the person more then there gender....
