Read My Lips: No New Babies

Thanks to professor Barry Walters, there's new outrage in the Outback. In this month's Medical Journal of Australia, Walters argues that having babies is bad for the planet. Though his argument's nothing new, Walters' solution certainly is. To offset the carbon emissions from Australia's kids, Walters says that parents should have to pay a $4,000 tax for each child they have. In his article, he says the "baby levy" could be used to plant trees that would absorb the extra CO2. Obviously, there are plenty of problems with Walters' plans--not the least of which is a lack of consensus on whether global warming actually exists. Just last week, scientists from the Universities of Rochester, Alabama, and Virginia released a report that said the earth isn't in a state of "planetary emergency." And if it were, researchers agreed the sun--not humans--would be to blame. The truth is, Walters' idea completely underestimates the importance of human capital, which is by far the earth's most valuable resource. Besides, if Australians stop having children, who will be left to plant all those trees? Like many, Walters is using global warming as an excuse to push population control. But the only thing he should really be controlling is his radical rhetoric.

    Now don't get me started...................

Global warming.....Another Liberal superstition. Talk to a Liberal Environmentalist and you'll be talking to a religious nutter.

Trust those backward Australians to jump on the Environmental Bandwagon with no real evidence to back it up.
They may want to go planting new trees but they are tearing up limitless Forests to print out the latest "Regulations".

In America our population spends in excess of $2.2M on extra Gas for their Cars to carry the extra weight because the "average" American is so fat. Never mind their Footprint, what about their Butt-Print?

Still, Al Gore got straight A’s in art in high school so I guess he's an expert on such matters......................hmmmm
God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.

Nevertheless I would support this proposal if it was applicable

      1. WORLDWIDE.
      2. The funs reverted to do GOD's work

4.000 usd... a GOOD AMERICAN TRUE CHRISTIAN could pay it and as it would be for GOD's work the tithe would be tax deductible on this one

And those lazy nigras in africa and pakkis in wherever they are, and all those that came here to live on our "wellfare", would think twice before spitting child after child and then asking for more US "financial support".

      Might be worth a thought

      PRAISE THE LORD!
