Actually, that's the issue of most parents in the US. Although, with hand-held game systems, such as the PSP or the Nintendo DS, getting smaller and smaller, it nearly impossible to keep kids away from video games because they can just sneak them out of the house in their backpacks on their way to school.

I would really like to go on a chaperoned date with [insert cheerleader name here]. What? An unchaperoned date? That would be so gay. As gay as the Demoncrat party.

You obviously have no idea about how the modern teenager views dates. It doesn't matter how "gay" you'd call an unchaperoned date, teenagers will think anyone who want to go on a chaperoned date is the gayest person ever.
Trust me, this one guy (I believe he came from being homeschooled) in my History class when I was in 10th grade said that he prefered to be chaperoned when he went on a date with a girl, and he showed up to class the next day with 2 black eyes, a busted lip, and a cast on his arm. In other words, he got his @$$ kicked!

You obviously have no idea about how the modern teenager views dates. It doesn't matter how "gay" you'd call an unchaperoned date, teenagers will think anyone who want to go on a chaperoned date is the gayest person ever.

Of course there will be persecution, as Christians we expect it. But I'm sure this friend of yours was some milquetoast nerd who was never taught to defend himself. Not only will it only be the best looking of our youth who will be sent, and teenagers always respect attractiveness, but our young men are all highly trained fighters in preparation for anything the forces of Satan may send at us, and all our young women have concealed carry permits and tend to be crack shots.
Besides, this is all about changing perceptions. With so many of our attractive, well-groomed youngsters entering the public schools, other teenagers will be clamoring to be as hip and cool as them.

Sister Mary Maria has some good ideas. We might flood youth hot-spots like YouTube and Facebook and MySpace with way-dank videos and profiles of uber-cool Republican young people. No one needs to know that they're fictional creations of the GOPPO -- the Grand Old Party Propaganda Organization.

Why would we need to dream up such fictional creations? I'm sure there must be plenty of uber-cool Republican young people "hanging chill" out there, just waiting for us to notice them.

If they get caught with them it wouldn't matter whether or not it was self-defense, they would go straight to jail, be kicked out of school, and even ruin their entire futures. Nobody, especially a teenager, is going to agree with someone going to jail for having a gun at school, let alone agree with someone going to jail for murder or attempted murder.
And, peer-pressure takes a lot more than having some good-looking teen saying that something is "uncool" or "gay". There are more and more teens who really don't care about someone elses opinions, especially about things such as political parties or even religion. Teens are much more open-minded than they were years ago.

It's because of this slap to the face of American freedom that so many of our youth die in school and college shootings instead of having a fair chance to defend themselves.
