Or are you one of those who blames the victim while the priest gets quietly shifted to 'another parish'?

Obviously, we know that this is ridiculously impossible!
Defiling our bodies? It takes a sample from a singe cell to test DNA. One would simply have to swab their cheek to gain a DNA sample. And with that, every genetic predisposition can be learned, including down syndrome. Every person with the symptoms of down syndrome have the same abnormality in their DNA.

Friend, every self induced (or done by others at your request) is a deliberate effort at mutilating Gods work.
        Leviticus 19:28
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.

        Deuteronomy 14:1
Ye are the children of the Lord your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

Tell me friend, where is that line in the sand? When does a single puncture added to the thousands of others make sense? God never has man cut himself or have others do it. When injury occurs though accident (really, retribution by Jesus) or through war, can damage to the human body be acceptable. Stealing a portion of a body to do demented 'scientific experiments' is sick and disturbing. I bet you are a fan of that Dahlmer guy too. Pervert!
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Who said anything about cutting. Swabbing your cheek leaves you exactly the same as you were earlier except maybe a hundreth of an ounce lighter.

Yypical liebral lie. Any peircing of the skin is just plain wrong. No where does God tell us that sticking needles into ourselves is a good thing.

"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh..." He does not say tiny ones are OK. Just like he never tells us anal sex is Ok "if you just penetrate with a little prick".

Friend, either you follow and listen to God or you do not and go to Hell. Again, where do YOU think that line in the sand is? God is pretty clear, if you actually read the Holy Bible.

Swabbing your cheek is taking a cotton swab, rubbing the inside of your mouth, then thats it. Enough of you cells are in that sample of saliva that one can take a DNA sample. You don't have to cut yourself

Down Syndrome is not a lifestyle choice. Even if it was, that would be a pretty odd choice to make. Yes, they would get to work less but they will have to take abuse from people like you. Humans have a natural drive to succeed and to be respected. Feigning a mental condition would be unlike people to do.

But Down syndrome is not a lifestyle choice, it is a genetic predisposition. Every person afflicted with down syndrome has an extra copy of a chromosome (big bundle of DNA) know as Chromosome 21 (the 21st in a precession of 26). This affects how the cells in the body build themselves. Not only does this affect mental development, it also stunts physical growth (something people can't feign) and causes pudgy features in the afflicted's face (also something that can't be feigned).

                    What rot.

If you choose not to apply yourself to education you grow up to be a dullard. If you do not exercise you will be a fatso. If you don't eat you green you will be a shorty.

Seems pretty simple, to me. And as Occam's blade is so fond of telling us: the easiest answer is ALWAYS right.

These people do in fact go to school. They try to get an education, their parents force them to try to learn, but they are physically incapable of earning at the rate in which most kids learn.

I am not entirely sure how obesity got put into the discussion.

But this stunted growth is not to do with how they eat. there is no correlation between how nutritious the food of a person is and whether they become afflicted with down syndrome. And there is no way that the behavior of a person will change the DNA in every one of their cells to give an extra copy of an entire chromosome. Even modern science can not do that yet

Methods of epigenetics is not a viable way to alter the DNA of every cell. You would have to work at one cell at a time, and humans have on the order of trillions of cells. The best way go go about altering every cell would be to introduce a synthetic virus that will infect multiple cells and alter their DNA in a way without killing them, this will not work with every type of cell. Using stem cell research, one could get around this by altering the DNA of a single cell and have it multiply into every other type of cell. Even so, there is no way to voluntarely do this without massive amounts of money.

What are you talking about? Stem cell research is just another way to kill babies.

In no way did I advocate stem cell research, I just mentioned what it would mean if such a study is funded again. Also, stem cells exist in the marrow of all bones. These cells provide a way from red blood cells to reproduce since they do not carry DNA (saves more room to hold oxygen). While these cells are not as flexible as fetus stem cells, they are a way to obtain them in a much less unethical way.

Cracking open someone's bones may be a deterrent from being a Mongol but it does not solve the issue of personal responsibilty.

If a child learns it can drool into it's soup or hoot and holler like a monkey and fling it's business at people without punishment how do you expect it to behave?
