  • A Biblical Summary Of Today's Political Arena

Friends, some of you know I homeschool my rather large brood of children because this is what the LORD has led me to do.

I take this responsibility very seriously and as a part of their education my husband insists the boys know how to vote and respond appropriately to the political arena they will face as men. The girls are of course being trained up to be Godly Helpmeets and so do not require this kind of education. Baking and cleaning will be the skills they'll need, not political science.

I decided to include a paper one of my dear children wrote in answer to the assignment to explain today's political status. I wonder if you would be so kind as to help me give it a grade:

A Biblical Summary Of Today's Political Arena
    by L. Etheldreda

    In The Beginning

"And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."
    (Gen.6:1-4).

These spirit beings appeared to humans as flesh, romanced mortal women, duped them into having relations with them (as women are easily duped by chocolates and things that sparkle). God knew what would happen because He always does, and so he forbade this union. Women, being stubborn, simple creatures, didn’t listen and had these fallen angels’ babies anyway. The offspring which resulted were not only proud, insolent, arrogant, and self-centered, they were also extremely cunning. In some cases, they were gigantic in stature!

God rightly flooded the entire world to rid humanity of their existence. Sometimes people think that’s not very nice, but the only other choice would be to let them take over all humanity and God loves man too much to let that happen. So He justly killed every man, woman and child, beast of burden, monster, and seemingly innocent puppy, save one faithful man and his family (Noah).

    Satan Threatens Humanity

Satan knew that the promised Messiah would come through the descendants of Abraham so he adopted a pre-emptive strategy and bred more "giants" to occupy the Promised Land to prevent the Israelites from being able to occupy it. His plan failed, however, when the Israelites under Moses and later Joshua turned out to be faithful unto the LORD and so did not fail. The remaining Anakim (or Giant Children of Anak) were crushed, as any enemy of God rightfully deserves.

"Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."
    (Numbers 13:28-33).

We know these things are true because Moses wrote about them in the Bible and the Bible, being the true Word of God cannot lie. In the book of Deuteronomy Moses recorded, "The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims" (Deut.2:10-11). Today we have the bones of these ancient giants to show just how tall and imposing they must have been. Most children aren't taught this in public schools. Satan certainly wanted mankind to be afraid, but not with the righteous “fear of God” we are encouraged to have.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding."
    (Proverbs 9:10)

    Unholy Unions Today

Satan knows the church today has been given the covenantal assurance once offered to Israel (Acts 2:33-36). Because the church today won’t reject God like the foolish, greedy jews are naturally inclined to do ( Revelation 2:9), Satan can’t scare us with giants. Instead, he whispers lies to the media about evolution and gay marriages and medicine that distract many would-be Christians from going to the church for healing. (James 5:14) Instead of sending giants, he sends giants of entertainment like Katy Perry and Steven Spielberg and pixar.

Today the unholy union between man and fallen angels is primarily a “deal with the devil,” or an individual unholy union between man and the first fallen angel, Satan. We can see the effects today, even if the offspring are not giant in stature. Today we see the unholy union between two men and its result, the AIDS unleased upon the earth. We can see the unholy union between man and atheists and its result, natural disasters. We can see these unholy unions don’t affect just the unrepentant sinner but all of mankind. Today it is good to recall our Father in Heaven and the covenant He has made with His Bride, the New Testament Church:

"Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened."
    (Matthew 13:31-33)

True Christians™ are the mustard seed and Christ will watch us grow until we are the greatest creatures on earth, heralding in the glorious return of Jesus Christ! We may not face giants on earth today, but we face as great, if not greater, threat to mankind. The land of Canaan has been conquered but the land of America is still a battlefield for dominance. We know God will win in the end (Colossians 2:15), but this explains we today we face Muslim and Mormon and Catholic champions in the form of presidential hopefuls.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

That 46 inch human femur is quite impressive and it got me wondering if they ever uncovered any evidence that they were playing basketball in the Euphrates Valley. Then I remembered that Obama also plays basketball and he also was the spawn of an Unholy Union. God has again spread economic malaise upon the land, much like He did when Jimmy Carter was president – both times a DEMONcrat was in office and mooselimbs were involved.
    Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
    ...and get off my lawn

My dear, I do wish you'd given a better range of grades to choose from.

First of all, it's composed in Comic Sans; the Lord's Word should never be quoted in Comic Sans.

So, that immediately would knock it to a B, for disrespecting God.

Then . . . well, it didn't answer the question! It tells me nothing about today's politics in the US.

Since I couldn't give it a C- (for being otherwise well-written and grammatically correct), I had to give it an F.

I do hope you will ask your husband to use his rod vigorously on the child tonight, to teach her to answer the question posed instead of spending her time cruising the Net looking for pictures of lesbian Katy Perry and Muslim Barack Osambo.
      Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!
You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!

The comic sans was my contribution, to separate it from my portion of the post. I thought it was just so adorable (I wanted to use pink but resisted the temptation). You know how we women can be attracted to cute things even when completely incongruous with their function. Further, this essay was written by one of my many sons. There would be no practical or even superficial reason for any girl to learn anything about the political arena of today's world. My daughters are trained very seriously to be Godly Helpmeets to their future husbands and as such their education is limited to the keeping and caring of home and hearth. My husband beats them with a special rod to remind them of this calling. Sometimes he does so prophylactically as the LORD leads him. I do think the essay has answered the question - America is like the modern day Canaan and the unholy union between Satan and mankind does not result in physical giants but diabolical giants of immorality, such as Katy Perry whom he saw when searching for a picture of a cross necklace. I do ever so appreciate your taking the time to set me straight and I shall submit myself to my husband for appropriate correction the moment he finishes his first few drinks after a hard day's work.

Wait . . . this was written by a boy?

          Oh, dear.

Did you only recently take him out of one of those inner-city public schools, with the hip-hop and the drugs?

You think a girl would have the luxury of leaving the baking, sweeping, sewing, laundry, and diapers that need changing around here just to learn about politics? I do not raise lesbians, sir.

I hope you're not calling our dear Sisters in Christ Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann lesbians, Mrs. Ethedreda.

Of course, not all girls can grow up to be such Godly women of power, like Ruth and Esther.

I just would have expected a more direct response to your question from a boy. Rambling on tangents is more typical of a female writer, like Ann Coulter or Cindy Jacobs.

Perish the thought, good Reverend. But perhaps you would be so kind as to explain to a simple woman like myself why a woman would believe God called her to lead the country. I would never presume to lead on man, much less millions. Ruth and Ester did their parts on their knees, not on any seat of power.

Please excuse any typos. I'm seeing double tonight. My husband assures me it should stop when the swelling gos down.

It gladdens my heart to hear you would not lead on a man, or millions of men, like that harlot Lady Gagme or Mutt-donna. This is but one of the myriad differences between a fine True Christian(tm) lady like yourself and those . . . loose women.
