Believing in God is the logical thing to do when you turn to attacking the atheist standpoints. Here is where logic can be applied, on the very front doorstep of those who try to live by it. I myself have been known to post in logical terms when rubbishing atheist beliefs.

But logic should not be turned to when proving God exists, the bible warns against this kind of line of thought. Do not sully the battlefield of proving God's existence with dirty, filthy "logic" but rather rejoice in the crystalline purity of faith.

Typical response of an atheist, just ignore what you can't handle.

Conjunction fallacy: assumption that an outcome simultaneously satisfying multiple conditions is more probable than an outcome satisfying a single one of them.

Nirvana fallacy: when solutions to problems are said not to be right because they are not perfect.

Teleological Fallacy: In which a speaker claims that some object or idea has a purpose, and then claims that the existence of this purpose suggests or requires that the speaker's argument is true. The initial claim that a purpose must exist is rarely explicitly stated.

Fallacy of necessity: a degree of unwarranted necessity is placed in the conclusion based on the necessity of one or more of its premises.

Fallacy of many questions (complex question, fallacy of presupposition, loaded question, plurium interrogationum): someone asks a question that presupposes something that has not been proven or accepted by all the people involved. This fallacy is often used rhetorically, so that the question limits direct replies to those that serve the questioner's agenda.

Perfect solution fallacy: where an argument assumes that a perfect solution exists and/or that a solution should be rejected because some part of the problem would still exist after it was implemented

Cherry picking: act of pointing at individual cases or data that seem to confirm a particular position, while ignoring a significant portion of related cases or data that may contradict that position

Ad hominem: attacking the person instead of the argument. A form of this is reductio ad Hitlerum.

Argumentum ad populum ("appeal to belief", "appeal to the majority", "appeal to the people"): where a proposition is claimed to be true solely because many people believe it to be true

1. The universe has such a flawless design that it necessitates a creator, and the Christian God is the only one who could have done that.

2. Every story in the Bible is backed up 100% by archeology, so the Bible was obviously inspired by the creator of the universe.

Because Christians pray more than every other religion, some things are bound to come true. Muslims don't pray too often, Buddhists don't pray, rather they meditate, Hindus pray, I think, but not at all often, and Sikhs don't pray at all.

From what I've seen, so many of the Sad, Unsaved, Spiritual Nomads who shuffle in here to mock us have had terrible things (or rather, things they SAW as terrible, at the time) happen to them in their past. This leaves them bitter, and feeling untrusting (or unworthy) of love.

If they only knew how God™ would love and protect them, if they would but give Him™ the chance.

Here's a little thought I sometimes give to newcomers:

If you live your life according to God™s Biblical(tm) plan, and believe in Him™, you will go to Heaven™ after you die, because you'll be Saved™

You can also live that same devoted life, but if there IS no God™ (which is not what I'm claiming, BTW) when it's all over you'd just be dead and won't know it...so either way you win.

It's a way of taking care of yourself. Don't you love yourself enough to give yourself that gift?
