Then I advise you to listen to Brother Hutchins' advice, friend, otherwise she'll grow up to be a gothic pervert just like Miss Trooper, and people like them go to Hell. If you want to protect your family from harm, shouldn't you be trying to keep them out of Hell?

You'd lay down your life for a female but you would not lay down your life for God? Are you mad?

I am holding back, i have been trawling through other threads and posts for views on particular subject matter.Originally posted by GOD=life View PostCaboose, I respect your quest to research our views and the Bible, but if you want your paper to have merit, you should be an objective observer. That means you have to document our views and present them in your paper so that other people can see what the Bible says.
You are going to get a lot more information out of people if you don't present yourself as hostile to their views. It's difficult expressing yourself freely if the other person keeps telling you your views stink.
i have not posted on anyother topic of discussion, as i said, i have a daughter, one of the 2 people i'd lay my life down for, i love them whole heartedly and would do anything to protect them from harm.
My views come into it however, and its a strong subject matter for me. I'm backing out of this thread now, i shall post no further.

Re: Problems with my daughter...I need advice.
shes 2 years old, all she wants to do is eat, sleep, dance and spin in circles if she can find the time.
She goes to bed when me and my wife say, she tidies up her toys when we ask. Shes very well behaved.
She hasnt quite got the hang of the hoover yet, it is twice her size, and she cant reach the taps of the sink yet so the washing up is a no-go.
... she does help hang the washing out however........

Its an ongoing project, this is my first visit back in like 3 days. i have a 2 year old daughter. i feel strongly about that subjectOriginally posted by James Hutchins View PostYou came here asking questions for your 'paper'. I answered them and then you state your opinion (which is of no importance)? I thought you were doing research?
When I was in school, and doing research, when I had a result, I simply noted it and moved on. Interesting

My daughters, the moment they misbehaved as children, got a switching followed by time in the female prayer closet. All of my girls kept their mouths shut and behaved by the time they were two. One does limp slightly as I got a bit over zealous, I'll admit, but I was a new parent (only my fourth kid) and it was excused by the Pastor.
My girls behave. They toe the line. They do their chores and than God every day they are alive.

Re: Problems with my daughter...I need advice.
I disagree... i was a goth, heavy metal music. partying. mosh pits (trooper will know)
I now have a house, a morgage, a child, a wife. i'm 2 months away from completeing my masters in Herpetology.
And i am a non-believer.
I came around by my own accord. Talking should be the first step. Atleast.
Over dinner, sit down watch a movie with her. responsibility, if she keeps her room tidy, or does the washing up, allow her to have her computer back.
She will resent you if you start forcing things upon her. Shes young. Shes not decided what she wants to do with herself, shes discovering new things.
Dont push her away by trying to make her conform to your ideals. She will resent you. Just like i resent my mother. I dont talk to her any more, havent in 6 years. Dont make the same mistakes my mother did....

Miss Trooper, you came here to this thread to tell Brother Lucas that everything would be alright if he gave his daughter more freedom. To prove your point, you presented yourself: "Here I am, look at me, it worked for me too. If you give your daughter more freedom, she will turn out right, just like me."Originally posted by TheTrooper View PostIf you want your daughter to hate you for the rest of her life, then follow through with this. =]
Then you continue to spout all kinds of blasphemies against God and hatred against the Holy Bible, insulting True Christians™ repeatedly, admitting to listen heavy metal (even including it in your avatar), and behaving in every respect like the hateful, feminazi, disobedient, God-hating gothtard Brother Lucas fears his daughter will become.
In short, you have done everything you could possibly do to prove our point: A disobedient daughter needs to be spanked and beaten until she is willing to behave, because if you give her more freedom, she will end up to be just like you. Thanks for proving our point.

why isn't it a good idea?Originally posted by Cranky Old Man View PostBut of course I do. If I have a problem with one of my children I will discuss these with other fathers or, when he was still alive, my own father to find a solution. Often the solution will be in the Holy Bible. It's an amazing book. But talking with girls is never a good idea. Tough love is what works best for raising girls.
