Santorum: head of State and head of Church?

Just as Henry VIII succeed in wrestling England from the papists, our very own Rik Santorum is standing up to the pope and winning America back from the Catholics. Is this the start of a new religion in the U.S.A. based on literal interpretation of the Bible instead of the watered down, interpreted garbage of recent years?

    Praying for Santorum!
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Our friend, Rick, is a Catholic. But I get the feeling we may be able to convert him to being a Baptist because he sees the Communist leanings of this Pope. His instincts are to merge the church and the government into one seamless powerful package. If the church is Baptist, that is a very good thing.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Yes, being Catholic could be a stumbling block. But once he overthrows the pope then that should be a moot point as there will be no more Catholicism. Just Santorum, sweet sweet Santorum. We need a new title for head of State and Church. President is just so... common after you-know-who left his dark stain on it. It strange that the American language seems to have a paucity of words for joint head of State and Church - a minor oversight of the Founding Fathers no doubt. We could use "king" or maybe "fuhrer" or "ayatollah" would be more appropriate.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Take care, Dr Toole, and bear in mind that comprehensive legislation would be required to prevent the USA going the way of Britain. While King Henry VIII did an excellent job of getting rid of the papists, within 6 years of his untimely death there was a woman on the throne, his daughter Mary, who reinstated the papacy and undid all her father's good work.

Fortunately Mary didn't last long and was succeeded by her sister (probably a man) who undid the damage. But it should serve as a warning.

Firm and non-repealable laws would be required to ensure that only a True Christian(TM) man could be head of State and Church. Otherwise you might end up with someone like Hillary Clinton. Imagine the embarrassment.
