Carson courts blacks with dope rap song

You can listen to it here.

I am not sure what to make of this. To my untrained ears, it is mos def a dope track, with a phat, booty-shakin' beat and a tight MC who spits rhymez with a flow that can only be described as off da hook. It isn't filled with F and N words, and there are no references to drugs, hoes, or the busting of caps. If I were a black, I would probably find it appealing. I might even X out of the porno site I was viewing to look up some of Dr. Carson's speeches.

But I have always thought of Carson as one of the good ones: a clean, well-spoken talented-tenther. To hear him go a-hippin' and a-hoppin' in an attempt to reach the saggy pants crowd is honestly a bit depressing. Necessary? Perhaps. Becoming of the man who could lead our country back from the brink of Sodom? In my opinion, no.

What do you think of this new direction for the Carson campaign?

He's pandering for votes from the crowd that doesn't even vote.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Sister, I know that you are one of Landover's leading experts on the ways of black folks, but I wonder if you may be mistaken here. As you say, if you were a black then you might well find it appealing. However, the reason you might find it appealing is this:

I submit that this is the very reason why our colored friends would not be interested in listening to it, and it can therefore do no harm.

My feeling exactly, brother. The coons aren't even allowed to vote, are they?

I am afraid I have bad news, Pastor. Despite our best efforts, the race traitor to Texas LBJ gave them the vote.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Recently Dr. Ben Carson said that the ancient Egyptian pyramids were actually grain storage built by Joseph and not tombs.
Do you think his theory is legit? Scholars say the pyramids would be a horrible place to store grain.
Others say the tight tunnels and secret passages would help reduce thiefs taking food. If you remember from genesis 41:57 the famine was world wide so thievery involving food was probably common.

I believe the Pyramids served a duel purpose Hank.

I do believe their primary purpose was to serve as tombs for those Egyptians pharohs, to keep them and their treasures safe from thieves, to be enjoyed in the afterlife.

However during the famine in genesis as you mention they likeley were used as granaries. A great place to store grain would be in a large, booby trapped structure!

I am further convinced that it was used as grain storage when God was sending locusts, frogs and other creatures to teach the Egyptians a lesson they would never, EVER FORGET!!

I am aware that Dr. Ben isn't a Christian, in the strictest sense of that word. However a stopped clock is indeed right twice a day. Besides I think he should get credit for being one of the "good" blacks, as Sister Virginia so eloquently put it.

He is truly a throwback to the darkies of old. The kind who would shine your shoes, mind your your children, or serve you Soul food with a warm smile on their faces!

Growing up, my family had a darkie servant named Eustace and he brought such joy to us all! I really do see old Eustace in Ben Carson's wise and gentle face!
