Sure we see Obama all over the place in church and talking about God. If you didn't know better you might think he was a Christian! Just because he says he's for some restrictions on abortion, it doesn't mean he really wants it stopped.
Now, doesn't that just sound like a Christian? That's what the media want you to think. Yes, they will shower with images of a Christian Obama.
But he's NOT! Do you here me? He's NOT a Christian.
Well, he might be a Christian like so many of the millions who think they are, but we know better! We know only True Christians (tm) are worthy of the title Christan. True Christians don't have a middle name like this:
A True Christian (tm) would change that name, and that terrorist name Obama!
He tries to look nice by taking on the Clintons:
But we know it's smokescreen.
Now, Mr. Obama reaches out to the salad bar Christians with his libral views, but Luckily Pastor Dobson was on the case:
He talks well enough, hinting at better things to come,
Yes, a nice thought, but since he'd have to expell his own family, I doubt that it will happen.
But is he really reaching out to US?
Or is he reaching out for something else? The herald of the new Messiah? Does he think he's that important and close to God?
The church that Damned America!!!
You can fool some of the people, but not an Evangelical!
No, you don't fool me Obama! I'm a True Christian (tm) Praise be!
"I've been to the same church _ the same Christian church _ for almost 20 years," Obama said, stressing the word Christian and drawing cheers from the faithful in reply. "I was sworn in with my hand on the family Bible. Whenever I'm in the United States Senate, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. So if you get some silly e-mail ... send it back to whoever sent it and tell them this is all crazy. Educate."
Campaign representatives blanketed South Carolina churches Sunday with literature that touted Obama's Christian faith.
One piece features photos of Obama praying with the words "COMMITTED CHRISTIAN" in large letters across the middle. It says Obama will be a president "guided by his Christian faith" and includes a quote from him saying, "I believe in the power of prayer."

Fighting against Clintons
Obama says he's going to fight harder against other mischaracterizations about his positions that he says are being perpetrated by rival Hillary Rodham Clinton and her husband, the former president.
"When I see Senator Clinton, President Clinton distort my words ... that is not a way to move the debate forward, that is not a way to help the American people," Obama said during his rally at the Columbia Convention Center

Now, Mr. Obama reaches out to the salad bar Christians with his libral views, but Luckily Pastor Dobson was on the case:
James Dobson, founder of the Christian group Focus on the Family, attacks Obama's previous comments on specific Bible passages. Obama has said chapters like Leviticus suggest slavery is OK, but eating shellfish is wrong. Obama also said Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is "a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application."
Dobson says he thinks Obama is ""deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology,"according to an advance copy of his segment given The Associated Press.
"... He is dragging biblical understanding through the gutter."

He talks well enough, hinting at better things to come,
During a June 2006 speech at the liberal Christian group, Call to Renewal, Obama referred directly to Dobson.
"Even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America," Obama said.

The Obama campaign's director of religious affairs said in a statement that Obama's complete speech showed that he is committed to reaching out to people of faith, AP reports.
"Obama is proud to have the support of millions of Americans of faith and looks forward to working across religious lines to bring our country together," Joshua DuBois said.

KIM LAWTON: Barack Obama has long urged the Democratic Party not to run away from religion. He has spoken openly about his own beliefs, and his campaign has employed a vigorous faith-based outreach strategy. Experts say this has earned him support within the religious community, but religion has also generated controversy for him.
This week, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan joined the ranks of religious leaders offering praise for Obama. Farrakhan called him "the herald of the Messiah."

LAWTON: Then, as a young community organizer, he visited Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and became deeply influenced by its pastor, Jeremiah Wright.
Sen. OBAMA (at UCC speech): He introduced me to someone named Jesus Christ, and I learned that my sins could be redeemed.
LAWTON: Obama has been a member of Trinity UCC for more than 20 years.

Reverend Otis Moss III is taking over Wright's pastoral duties. He sees the negative attention as an opportunity.
Reverend OTIS MOSS III (Pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago): You can continue to say what you want, but the truth is, is that our roots are within the African-American community. Our roots are within the message and teachings of Christ, and they have nothing to do with the bloggers and the emails, but everything to do with the love of God.

A new poll by the Barna Group shows Obama leading McCain among all faith groups – except for evangelicals. “For the most part, the various faith communities of the U.S. currently support Sen. Obama for the presidency. Among the 19 faith segments that The Barna Group tracks, evangelicals were the only segment to throw its support to Sen. McCain. Among the larger faith niches to support Sen. Obama are non-evangelical born again Christians (43% to 31%); notional Christians (44% to 28%); people aligned with faiths other than Christianity (56% to 24%); atheists and agnostics (55% to 17%); Catholics (39% vs. 29%); and Protestants (43% to 34%). In fact, if the current preferences stand pat, this would mark the first time in more than two decades that the born again vote has swung toward the Democratic candidate.”
