It is another sad day in America, when the longest-serving Republican Speaker of the House in history is smeared and discredited in a needless political attack during his golden years. Disgusting!
First, even if the allegations of the homer slutboys about their luring Mr. Hastert into improper behavior is partially true, THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS HAS EXPIRED. Therefore, it's all wiped clean off Mr. Hastert's record.... poof! Gone!
Second, Mr. Hastert was convicted of paying boys to "keep quiet." And yet they didn't keep quiet. It seems to me the boys (who are now middle-aged men, by the way) should be prosecuted for blackmail or breach of contract. Where are the court trials for those middle-aged blackmailers?
Finally, Dennis Hastert has served this country well. He introduced The Hastert Rule, a very important and far-reaching policy which saysdon't tell your parents about any of this all Congressional bills should only be passed with votes from the majority party.
