  • 'too lazy and fat'

As a French resident, I like to follow the developments in neighboring countries in Europe - like Germany, Australia and especially England, where they almost speak the same language. With Brexit now well underway 3 months after the vote, England has been enjoying improved competitiveness in the international market thanks to the strong leadership of the government. Or, possibly, the sharp drop in its currency. Probably a bit of both. Ra ra ra!

To further boost productivity, the International Trade Secretary, Liam Fox, who was one of the leaders of the Brexit campaign, has told UK businesses that they are 'too lazy and fat' and should get back to work on Friday afternoon instead of 'playing golf'. They should see it as their 'duty' to the country. Ra ra ra! It seems to me that lazy, fat, selfish businesses are going to be the reason why Brexit turns out to be the colossal clusterflock that everyone thought it would be. I look forward to seeing continued beatings from the Trade Secretary until Britain's moral improves. Ra ra ra!
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

    Don´t worry Anthony,

The British will do fine. It will be a bit harder for the French to get their subsidies but they can always ask the Scots, they seem eager to stay in the EU. If that fails you can ask Angela, she likes to give (what is not hers) to anyone who likes the EU.

    Kind regards,

    Roland
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

Best wishes for the people in Ukraine.
