REPORT: McCain to pick Sarah Palin as his running mate

I am proud to give you this update! Our Godly Presidential Successor, John McCain (who is celebrating his 72nd birthday today), has reportedly picked his running mate!

According to the report, it's Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. (She's a 44-year old hockey mom-the youngest person involved with either ticket-and has been governor of her state less than two years)

This is just good strategy. Even my liberal democratic roommate put into words what a lot of people are thinking:
"I am a Democrat, but to put a WOMAN in a place of POWER is almost enough temptation to vote for the old bastard."

While I do NOT agree, it is a hell of a good strategy for the Republican party.

I see this as a very intelligent move for McCain. Considering the democrats are suffering some bad blood in their party due to the Clinton/Obama rift, perhaps Palin might be the key to bringing over some of the disenchanted Hillary fans over long enough to secure their support for installing McCain in the White House.

I find it personally amusing that this fight has turned into:

Dagnabit! Senator McCain is a genius! My husband, Mr. Whitford, just explained it to me. The senator runs for the White House with a woman on the ticket to win the feminazi vote. Then shortly into 2009, maybe around April or May, Palin resigns so she can look after her little baby retarded, then Brother Wash or Pastor Huckabee will step in. Brilliant!
