    Hard-working Republicans in the Senate

Unlike the lazy negro former President, the Republicans in the Senate have decided to work thru Summer recess. This is the kind of return to traditional American values that will make America great again - sacrifice your vacations and put in more hours at work. I've no doubt they'll repeal Obamacare by sheer effort of will and by pulling on really hard on their own bootstraps during this time.

The Senate left for its August break on Thursday, but it won’t technically be in recess. And that will stop Trump from filling executive branch spots without senators’ OK.

Senate blocks Trump's ability to make recess appointments

Using a procedural tool often invoked by senators in the past, the Senate has set up a series pro forma sessions. Essentially, they'll gavel into session every few days -- perhaps even for just minutes at a time -- through Labor Day to keep the lights on.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

I'm so proud of our Republican Senators. They continue to work while liberals and the White House press ne'er-do-wells hit the beach. I'm looking for big accomplishments during this period.

You have weird interpretation to the story. They're doing this to limit the power of the president. They're only showing up for a couple minutes every few days.

Our Republican President is working hard. Our Republican Senators are working hard. Obviously, the liberal press wants to make Republicans look bad and themselves good.

You have bought into the trick played on naive people by the Washington press. I hope you keep studying politics so you come to understand it as well as we do here at Landover Baptist.
