    Great observation, Sister Handmaiden.

I'm not a theologian like our Pastors with their advanced degrees, but as church member it seems to me your logic gives us the opportunity to refer to firings and insults done by our President as "smiting".

Just today some of those CEO's resigned. The President had helped them by giving them major positions on advisory committees. Before the resignations reached his desk, the President smote them by dissolving the committees.

I think we can look forward to the Bible being applied in unique and forceful ways in the near future.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

My condolences to the family Heyer for losing a daughter. I am glad to see you find support among yourselves and many others in these hard times. I think it is wonderful that you, even though distraught, keep a positive outlook.

      Kind regards Roland
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

We need to rally around, buck up his spirits and make it know we are there for him.
No-one in the lamestream media even mentions Donald Trump is meant to be on vacation right now. They should be apologizing to America that, because of all the ruckus over 2 equal sides who are both to blame, he can't be out on the golf course making deals and making America great.

Hi, is this the right place to ask if what happened in Barcelona is because of the violence of many sides?

You know, Catholics and atheists being crushed by a Muslim, it sounds like many sides to me.

Hereby I will use this opportunity to condemn ALL non-biblical violence.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Yes, and very fine people on both sides as well.

I take back this statement about the media inspiring people to run over protesters. After all, Fox News promoted a video celebrating people who run over protesters, and encouraged people to learn from it:

Now how could that bit of harmless fun have any consequences?

The Left are such hypocrites. Those "Unite the Right" liberals we've been seeing on TV are run-of-the-mill Nazi flag waving socialists in the European tradition of the National Socialist German Worker's Party, which was led by none other than Adolf Hitler, the famous socialist intellectual. Radical Left protesters who opposed them are far, far off to the left and in the political wilderness. Trump can safely ignore this fringe minority. Either way, this is a left-on-left problem, liberal violence (it always is). The sensible mainstream is comfortably to the right of those false flag fake news "Unite the Right" leftists.

Re: "Unite The Right" terror attack in Charlottesville Virginia

Sadly it's a deeper problem than I realized.

A recent case-in-point: two Republicans in Asheville, North Carolina recently compared the flying of the gay-rights rainbow flag at the city hall to Nazism. Former city councilman Carl Mumpower didn’t mince words when he stated that, “I am equating their methods with the Nazi movement…They are indifferent to the rule of law and indifferent to the vote of the people. And that’s Adolf Hitler all over again in a different disguise.”

Mumpower’s equating of gay rights to Nazism is particularly galling since the Third Reich actively persecuted homosexuals in Germany. But not only is his statement galling, it’s also monumentally hypocritical. As the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum notes, “The Nazis posed as moral crusaders who wanted to stamp out the ‘vice’ of homosexuality from Germany in order to help win the racial struggle.”

You got that? A pair of North Carolina Republicans, who fancy themselves moral crusaders in the fight to uphold “traditional marriage,” are accusing their opponents of being Nazis — the very-same Nazis who positioned themselves as moral crusaders against the so-called threat of homosexual influence in Germany. Pot, meet every single kettle EVER MADE.

Years ago, a very dedicated church-going friend of mine told me that she read stories of Nazis sexually molesting homosexuals for being perverted.

I will admit that this confuses me.

Of course the Nazi's were homers - Landover Baptist Church (and others) exposed this some years ago.

                      Read about it here:

                      Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
