Brexit in tatters - need Trump's help!

The British government this weekend finally sat down and decided what Brexit actually means for Britain. It's only been 2 years since the country voted for time to be reversed to 1850 and Queen Victoria to rule over 2/3 the world's land mass. Plus a pink pony for all true Englishmen.

Despite winning the vote and being in power, the nitty gritty proved to be beyond all the key Brexit enablers: Nigel Farage (resigned), David Cameron (resigned), Boris Johnson (resigned), David Davis (resigned). The only major political figure left standing in support of Brexit is... you guessed it, Donald Trump.

It's time for the USA to put its weight behind getting the UK out of the EU. I can only imagine Trump has a master plan already worked out. He's meeting the British prime minister in a few days, which will presumably be Theresa May (although you never know with these Brexit types - she might retire to the family estate and write her memoirs, like the others.) There is definitely a case for Donald Trump to negotiate a deal whereby he buys Britain and leases it to Russia for chemical weapons tests.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Re: Brexit in tatters - need Trump's help!

Recall the famous words of Winston Churchill when faced with the challenge that defined his lifetime. Read these words and picture David Cameron, Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage chumming it up over a case of chardonnay:

"Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of Brussels and all the odious apparatus of EU rule, we shall not flag or fail.

We shall resign before the end, we shall retire in France,
we shall go yachting on the seas and oceans,
we shall depart with growing confidence and growing strength in foreign holdings, we shall short-sell our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall sunbathe on the beaches,
we shall stroll on the landing grounds,
we shall go shopping in the fields and in the streets,
    we shall sight-see in the hills;
we shall never work, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our vacation homes beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the EU, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.”
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Americans have had to bail out Europe from their collective stupidity twice in the last century, and I don't think Americans are willing to do it again. You would think the Europaeons would have learned by now - you need a Second Amendment and firearms for every citizen.

About the best Trump could do is withdraw funding from NATO and use the money to buy weapons to arm the true British Patriots.

"BRILLIANT" as they say in England. May reveals Trump Brexit advice: Sue the EU, don’t negotiate

And if that doesn't work, sue the universe for conspiracy! Sick 'em Cohen, attaboy.

Re: Brexit in tatters - need Trump's help!

With her cabinet ministers resigning around her and her proposed strategy for Brexit slammed by all sides - of her own Conservative party, that is - not to mention the opposition party, Theresa May has told the EU to resolve the Irish border problem.

As you know, after Brexit the EU/UK border will happen at the Northern Irish border, which is prohibited from having a physical border by the Good Friday Agreement than ended 40 years of terrorism in the UK. No-one has any clue how to solve this after Brexit.

Theresa May has been very clear she wants an open border with Ireland that is closed to the EU to prevent their filthy foreigners from creeping in and stealing jobs. The EU has laughed in her face every time she demands this, which has been often.

If the EU fails to come up with a solution that satisfies the Conservative Party (which has been split on the EU for 40 years), then Britain will simply LEAVE the EU! You've been warned.

The only way I see this working out: Ireland re-united. It would pass easily now that staying in the EU is on the line.

Better part: you're gonna have to deal with a bunch of political refugees (who are used to lording it over teh local trash, and will continue to assume that right because British).

Best part: after you're forced to let NI go, Scotland's gone (there are several walls already there iirc, just pick one and make it bigger and official-like).

Stretching it a bit here: they take Wales with them, form a Gaelic bloc. Imagine all them bagpipes. Surrounding you. omg you'll be looking to the French for solace, and they'll be <<Heh? Non. On vous connais plus.>>.

So it turns out that the easy way to eliminate all the problems in the UK (because that's what your politicians promise in order to get elected, and they will deliver on their promises, so help them Anglican Jesus) is to eliminate the UK. GJ, idiots.

Typical ignorant Remoaner response, as I expected from Mr. Much. The Brecking crew are already 5,000,000 steps ahead of your naive thinking. Northern Ireland voted to remain, so if they quit the UK then the Leave vote becomes even stronger in the rest of the UK. Ditto for Scotland. And London and most of the urban elitists. Let them all go begging to Brussels. All True Scotsmen Englishmen Sunderland residents will welcome the ©Freedom to become a low tax, low regulation haven with easy illegal access to the EU for dumping sub-standard wares via the porous Northern Irish border.

Theresa May is misguided (I'm refraining from using a stronger term here) and doesn't know her history. Those Irish are terrorists and used to regularly bomb London - they were worse than the mooselimbs at the time. The Irish by nature are belligerent and taken to strong drink - and otherwise quite undesirable.

We here in America have had considerable experience with them since we allowed them in due to a potato problem some time back. We should have been suspicious when they couldn't muster the resources and intelligence to grow something besides potatoes. Did I mention they are papists?

Really, the best solution for Ireland for everyone would be to build a huge wall around it. And start pouring concrete over the top afterwards. If the terrorists won't go away on their own then we might as well bury them in concrete. How much would that cost anyway? Theresa May can subtract it from her EU dues this year and get crackin' right away. The craik', geddit it's a joke. Ha ha here comes the concrete.

                    Brother Dr. Toole,

If May was really clever she would invade the republic and, as you suggest, wall it off. She could then turn it into a huge landfill and toxic waste dump site and charge the rest of the world, with the exception of the USA, for dumping all their rubbish there. This would save on the cost of filling it with concrete and, at the same time, it would rid her of the "Irish Problem" that has plagued England for near on 900 years. The only drawback is that there would be no pikeys to provide cheap paving solutions.

Breathrough! Britain threatens to shoot itself in the foot. In the latest development, the UK wants the EU to let its banks act as if there were no Brexit OR ELSE "British clients... will be hit by regulators".

That's right! Britain will charge British clients extra fees to buy EU funds. This is surely a well-thought out plan that has no downside. The British people will be so angry with the EU they won't notice who is the one sticking it in their butt.

Why would any British person or company even want to do that? As long as the British remain free to invest in the USA, Switzerland, Russia and certain offshore islands, my husband sees no cause for them to complain.

I believe the inventor of Commonwealth government established precedents relating to offshore territories still current today and employed to good effect, for example in Cuba, but it does require a "hands on" approach..

Your husband is a smart man. To avoid paying fees, everyone in the UK will have to invest in one of those places. It's a check-mate scenario for the EU. And they know it. Just today, the foreign secretary - the new one, not the one that resigned - said:

“We have to make a decision on Britain’s future relationship with the EU by the end of this year and we have to be very honest with ourselves about the choices that we face. At the moment we are heading for no deal by accident.”

“The probability of no deal is increasing by the day until we see a change of approach from the European commission, who have this view that they just need to wait and Britain will blink.”

WE have a decision. THEY need to make it. It's simple, as Theresa May has said all along. Strong borders with the EU and no border with the EU. Full compliance with EU law and independence from EU law. Think of it like cake - you have it or you eat it or you have it, eat it, get a free pony, crash your economy and wipe out your political party for a couple decades. I mean, what's hard about that?

It's just a matter of intelligence, contacts and a good accountant. Or if they don't have any of those, people could just invest in the UK, no? I mean the poorer people already put their money in the local bank or (more often) put their overdrafts there!

As to the rest of them, Ephesians 4:28 is the answer:
