  • So few Republican speakers

Glancing briefly at the Democrat National Convention today, why is it that former Democrat leaders always seem to hang around and talk at the big conferences while former Republican leaders tend to disappear in a cloud of shame?

    Calling out George W Bush.
    Calling out Alberto Gonzales.
    Calling out Donald Rumsfeld.
    Calling out Scooter Libby.

Not to mention all the strong Republicans that have served under Donald Trump at his beck and call. Served him, fulfilled his every whim and fancy. Every day "get me a coke", "talk to Melania", "bathe the kids". It's hard to imagine unless you been there.

But I like to imagine that Republicans give their all while on the job, and by the end they have nothing left to give. That's why they wear out quicker.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Republicans are the ultimate public servants. They take care of the President by being at the ready when he needs a break or a soda. They pass tax cuts so the wealthy can give jobs to the next-to-nothings. They maintain the racial and class structure to people don't get confused about their status.

As you say, Dr. Toole, all this service to human kind leaves them without energy when we need them.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.
