Brothers and Sisters,
As much as none of likes to admit it, the Bush era of America are quickly coming to an end. Now there are those among us who hope & pray that Bush will have the fortitude to declare himself President for life in order to ensure that democracy remains strong in America, but we cannot count on that.
The reason I created this thread is for us to reflect on the past glorious and prosperous 8 years that God has blessed us with George W. Bush, and to remind us that God is in control. We are now threatened with a Muslim Osambo as president, but let us not fear: God will not leave us alone. Remember the horrors of the post-Clinton years, which God used to bring along our Godly President Bush to set this country back on track, and pray that God will once again look out for His Own.
My personal favorite moment, as cliche as it is, was when Bush stood up to the terrorists on September 11th™. While reading "My Pet Goat", Mr. Bush had the strength to tell the terrorists to "back off" while he finished reading his story. Now a "President" like Clinton or Mr. Hussein Obama would have probably rushed right off and let the terrorists win by immediately addressing the situation, our Godly president was smart enough to make the terrorists WAIT. For seven whole minutes, the president stayed the course, setting a precedent for the later years when he would be advised back off of Iraq, who caused the terrible 9/11 disaster. For seven minutes, the President showed the terrorists what he was made of. For seven minutes he resisted the urges of the terrorist-loving liberals to leave the school and to do something assertive to help his people. But our president knew just what to do--nothing. And that, my friends, is what a true leader does in a crisis.

Please add your own favorite memories of these past glorious 8 years. I know it will be hard, as there are so many to choose from and so devastating to think that soon there will no longer be a President George W. Bush, but please, give it some thought. It will help us all to grieve together.
